Lily’s P.O.V.

I couldn’t take it any longer. I had just gotten away from the constant yelling. Now it was back and I didn’t know what to do. Well, I did, but it’s not what they would want me to di. They wanted me to tell them where my blade was, give it up, and live a normal life. Well that’s not going to happen yet. I’m not ready to give it up. I don’t cut that often. It just knowing that it’s there if I ever need it that keeps me sane. I didn’t want to give up my only friend so I did what I always do. I run. I run to the nearest swing set, which happened to be across the street, and I swing. The repetitive motion helps me think and forget all my problems. I know that makes no sense, but for me, it’s what I need. I did it when I lived with my parents, I did it at Loving Hearts, and now I did it here.
“Lily!” I didn’t need to turn around to know that Vic had followed me, with the rest of the guys probably close on his heels. I reached an open swing before he reached me so I pumped. He ran up next to the swing set and caught his breath. After a minuet, he got behind me and stopped my swing. No one has ever done that. I looked down at my feet. He squatted down in front of me and grabbed my shoulders.
“Are you going to run?” he asked softly. I shook my head.
“Can we talk?” I nodded.
