Narrator’s P.O.V.

“Where are your blades?” Jaime asked. It was silent as all eyes rested on Lily. “Nowhere.” Lily said shyly, careful not to make eye contact with anyone. “Where are they?” Jaime said more forcefully. Lily rubbed her hands nervously, deciding if she should tell or not. “Lillian!” Jaime yelled. She winced as the memories of beatings that followed that word flooded back along with a wave of tears. She resisted the urge to cry. She had cried too much. If she did it now, they’d think she used crying as a way to get out of answering questions. “Jaime! Calm down!” Mike barked. Lily’s hands flew to her ears as a few tears escaped. Tony picked her up and brought her to the couch. He tried to calm her down but she kept squirming. He picked up a hand to get a better grip and she was gone.
