Jaime’s P.O.V.

We came to see Lily the next day a bit before lunch. We planned on eating with her and we hear hospital food sucks, so we brought a box of cookies along with our lunch of Monster and McDonalds. We didn’t bring any for Lily because the poor doctors probably couldn’t handle a Lily on Monster. We started walking to her room and expected the same, happy Lily we had yesterday, but that’s not what we got.
“No!”
“Lillian. Come out or you don’t get him back.”
“No!” We opened the door to see the doctor talking to a recliner, holding Super Softy who was covered in needles.
“Lillian, come out or your moose gets another shot!”
“No!” the recliner screamed. I cleared my throat and he turned around.
“Ah. You’re here!” he said like he was happy to see us. “You get her out and you can visit anytime as much as you want.” he whispered.
“Okay. Give me the moose.” I said. He handed me it and I walked over to the chair circle. I pointed to one of the recliners and he nodded. I put Super in front of it and went and sat in the other. The guys came over and I moved so we could all have our spots back. The doctor started to come over but I stopped him.
“You want her out?” I asked. He nodded. “Out.” I said, pointing towards the door. He glared at me and I motioned him to leave. He huffed then left. “He’s gone.” I said. The back of Mike’s recliner popped up and her head looked around. She crawled out and grabbed Super from in front of Vic’s recliner, then took her spot on the couch. She sat there just looking at Super Softy, saying nothing.
“So how as your day?” Vic asked. She sighed but said nothing. We sat there then I got up. I walked over to her and grabbed Super. She held on but I pried him from her hands. She wined a bit so I sat down next to her and buried her head in my arm. I set him on my lap and slowly, gently, took out the needles. Lily dug her head between my back and the couch. After I was done I set him down on her and got up and sat back in my spot. She looked up, reached over and rubbed his tummy. She sat up and grabbed him and held on her lap with her chin on his head. Vic walked over and picked her up. He took her over to his chair and sat crossed legged with her on his lap sitting the same way. She scooched closer into his lap and he hugged her.
“Do you remember anything?” he asked. Lily shook her head gravely. “Well remember this.” He took a cookie out of the box. “We love you.” When she saw the cookie her eyes lit up. She took it and split it into five very uneven pieces. She took the smallest and offered the rest. We all took a piece then I put the whole bow on the table. She gasped then looked at Vic.
“Go nuts.” He said. She grabbed six and handed three to him. She started eating them like a chipmunk, savoring each bite. I took out my phone and took a picture. Just then a nurse came in. Lily shoved the cookies in her mouth and dove under Vic’s chair. “Not this again. Lily, come out.” “She does this a lot?” I asked. “Every hour. I told the doctor it would be a bad idea but he won’t listen.” “What’s it for?” Vic asked. “Memory suppressers. Doctor wants her here for a long time so you have to pay more.” “Would you mind if we asked you to stop?” Vic asked. “Sure.” She went over to the sink and took out a needle. She pushed its contents down the drain. “Lily, come here.” She threw the needle in the trash. Vic grabbed her ankle and pulled her out. She curled into a ball. Her body was shaking like she was crying. The nurse came over and stuck a band aid on her arm. “Did she eat one of those?” “Three and a sliver.” Tony said. The nurse turned around and mumbled something about how hard her job is. When she closed the door Lily looked up. When she didn’t see the nurse she grabbed another cookie and disappeared back under the chair. We relaxed and I passed out our lunch. Vic grabbed the box of cookies and slid it under his chair. It gave a delighted squeak and we all started eating. After we were done, we put Lily back in bed, picked up our garbage, said our goodbyes, and left. We promised her we’d be back later.

I know. I'm sorry. I'll put up one more chapter today and try to update more often. I've come to the realization that I may never be able to keep to a schedule so I'll say Friday and hope I remember. If I was to give a reason for this it's because lots of stuff has happened and this helps a lot. Thanks guys.
