Lily’s P.O.V

We came to our next stop and the conversation went about the same. “Hi.” “Hello. How are you?” “Good and you?” “Good. What are you here for?” “New prescription.” “Okay. Follow me.”We walked into a room and Vic followed. There were a lot of questions then the man in the room with us took off my glasses and put a weird contraption over my eyes. Vic took a picture, being the immature elf he is. Then came the endless question. I stared at a TV wit letters while the man in a lab coat asked, “Which is better? 1 or 2?” By the end the letters looked so clean and sharp. Then he showed me my old glasses and my new ones. It was like night and day. The guy brought Vic into the hall to talk while I sat in the chair. My breathing got harder. What was so bad he couldn’t say it in front of me? Just then a sheepdog walked into the room. Just a random sheepdog trotted into the room. He seemed friendly so I got off the chair and pet him. He rolled onto his back and I laughed, stroking its tangled chest. Slowly, my breathing became easier. Vic and the guy came back in but I tried not to pay attention. It scared me when things were quiet, but when adults got quiet, I couldn’t breathe. “You ready for the fun part?” Vic asked. I stood up and he grabbed my glasses with one hand and held my hand with the other. We stopped in a door way and Vic turned to me. “Okay. So there are a lot of mirrors in here so try not to peek, okay?” I nodded. I walked into the room and the guys swarmed around me. They brought me to a table with tons of glasses. “What are all these?” I asked. “We picked out some glasses we thought would look good on you.” Tony said. “Here. Try these first.” I tried on every pair but none of them were perfect. Vic brought over a pair of glasses. He handed them to me and I put them on reluctantly. “Wow Vic. Nice pick.” “Now she’s really hot.” Jaime snapped another picture then gave me a hug. “Tu es muy guapa. Te amo.” he said. “Tu también.” They all smiled and joined in to form a group hug. I took that perfect moment and ruined it. “So can I look now?” They laughed, glad I ruined it. “Yes Lily. You can look.” Vic said with a sigh and a laugh. “You know what, no. I’ll wait till you guys find that one perfect outfit, then I’ll look.” “Yes!” Jaime said, agreeing with me. “But you all have to agree on it.” “Okay.” They all said, and with that we started shopping.
