Lily’s P.O.V

It was amazing! I just couldn’t wrap the idea around my head that if something was in my size, I could buy it. “Follow me!” Vic yelled. Well I guess I have to follow him. We walked for a bit then someone put their hands over my eyes. “No peeking.” Jaime giggled like a little girl. I was getting used to their constant random requests so I just kept walking, closed my eyes, and grabbed Mike’s shirt. After a bit of tripping and giggling, we came to a stop. “How are you today?” an unknown voice asked. “Great. You?” Tony asked. “Good. What are you here for today?” I was spun around. “We’re thinking a complete makeover.” “Right this way.” “Can I open my eyes?” I asked. “No.” Vic said. “Um….Ah!” he took off my glasses then put another pair on me. “You can only open your eyes to walk.” “Sounds fair. Do I walk now?” “Yeah.” I opened my eyes. Everything looked blacker. I looked up at Jaime. He smiled then messed up my hair. “We should get you a pair. You look good.” I smiled. “This way.” I followed a lady to the back. Vic followed but stopped to talk to another lady. My lady brought me to a chair next to a sink and I sat in it. I leaned back and closed my eyes as warm water flowed down my head. I smiled as the warmth lulled me to sleep………….NO! I had to stay awake. If I slept I might have the dream again. The lady lifted my head and wrapped a towel around it. “Follow me.” I opened my eyes and followed. She led me to a line of chairs. The girl Vic had been talking to was standing there with him. I sat in the chair and Vic’s girl off the towel while the other lady left. As the towel came off, my hair fell down. “Wow! You’d be losing well over a foot. Are you sure?” “Yeah.” Vic said. “And she’s okay with this?” “She has no choice but I think she’ll like it.” “Okay.” The lady said with a sigh. I guess Vic walked away. I already had my eyes closed but I heard footsteps. Vic’s friend put something around me and lifted my hair up. She grabbed my hair at a little after my shoulders and cut. A wave of applause came. “Is it gone?” I asked. “Yeah.” Vic’s friend said, worry in her voice. “Cool!” I heard laughter and smiled and joined in a bit. Vic’s friend let out a sigh of relief. She took off my glasses and did something weird to my chair, and then she started playing with my hair. At first it felt weird, and then it felt nice. She started painting sections of my hair, or it felt like that, then she’d wrap it in what sounded like aluminum foil. She did that for a while then told me to follow her. I opened my eyes and followed. I’m blind without my glasses so when I was a mirror, I only looked like a shiny blob. She told me to sit then lowered a weird thing onto my head. I sat there for a minute, too lazy to close my eyes seeing as I couldn’t see very much. After a while, the guys came over and sat with me and Mike let me play on his phone while he listened to music. After what felt like ages, the girl came back. She lifted the thing off my head and I followed her. I sat back down and closed my eyes as the girl played with my hair some more. She took off the foil stuff and started cutting. I felt as my hair got lighter as the pile on the floor got bigger. She messed with it and sprayed it into place. After what felt like hours of work, she took off the thing around my neck. I opened my eyes and put on my glasses. I walked over to the guys and was greeted by a chorus of “Wow!”, “You look hot”, “Can I just *Phone Camera Click*” and “I’m so proud of you!” “Can I look?” I asked. “Yeah!” everyone said. “No.” well almost everybody. “You have to wait.” Vic said. “For what?” Mike asked. “A better view.” Vic said as he elbowed Mike. “Oh!” everybody said. “What? Why can’t I see? Tell me!” “Just wait Lily.” Mike said. “Yeah. It’ll all be clear in time.” Tony said. I groaned. “Okay. At least how much longer?” “An hourish. Now close your eyes and hold on.” Mike said, extending his hand for me to grab. I grabbed it and we were off, again.
