Skin and Bones
Chapter 18
After a very long and nice hug, Tony pulled back and looked at me. He didn't say anything though, he just smiled, he had one of the nicest smiles I've ever seen, I couldn't help but smile back.
"Mike," he said, sounding more confidant than before, "I can't promise you things won't be perfect, but I swear that I will never leave. I'll do my best to keep the voices away, but I don't know where to start."
"Just being with you helps me," I said, embarrased to admitt it, "That's all you need to do."
He nodded and kissed my forehead, practically giving me heart palpitations. I've never felt this way with anyone before. Which isn't really saying much because I've only had one girlfriend before, and Tony's my first boyfriend.
"Want to head downstairs and hang with Austin and Vic?" he asked.
"Yeah..." I responded.
We walked over to the door leading to the stairwell, it was still closed. I opened it to an unexpected surprise. Austin and Vic, who I'm assuming had their ears pressed against the door, fell over each other. More specifically, Austin, who was taller than Vic, came falling on top of Vic. Vic then fell backwards, almost tumbling down the stairs.
I looked at Tony, whose face was bright red, trying not to laugh. I just shook my head as they tried to collect themselves and act natural.
"You guys weren't easedropping," Tony said, "Were you?"
"Um- We... Were just... Uh," Vic stammered, trying to think up some excuse.
"What if we were?" Austin asked, getting defensive, "And if we were, which we weren't. You guys were being to quiet for us to hear anything. Probably, I think."
I raised my eyebrows and looked at Tony. He just smiled and shook his head at his overly sarcastic cousin.
"What do you want to do Tone?" I asked, motioning towards them, "Fill them in, or leave them guessing?"
"Well," He said, pretending to be deep in thought, "I'm assuming Vic filled Austin in on everything that happened this morning... Or else they wouldn't be ease dropping..."
I timidly looked at Austin, he gave me a supportive smile and nod, "In that case, I'm thinking they we should make them guess..."
Tony chuckled and said, "But then again... If we don't tell them... Then who can we tell?"
"Hmmm...." I said, glancing from Tony over to the guys, who were giving us questioning glances, "That's a pretty valid point..."
"Come on guys!" Austin complained.
"Just tell us! We're family for gods sake!" Vic exclaimed.
Tony looked at me, I nodded, and said, "Fine, but you're doing the talking Tone..."
He sighed and said, "How about I just do this?"
I opened my mouth to say something, but was cut off by Tony's lips on mine. Well atleast neither of us had to awkwardly tell them...
