Skin and Bones
Chapter 19
Tony put his hand on my face and moved to deepen the kiss. I stood there, helplessly trapped kissing him back in front of my brother and his cousin. I put my arms around him, might as well give the guys a show I guess. After we were both out of breath, we pulled back and smiled at each other. I untangled my arms from his neck and turned to Vic and Austin. Vic had a smug grin on his face, and I couldn't read Austin's expression.
"Aus," Vic said, "I believe you owe me twenty dollars..."
Austin grumbled something under his breath and pulled out his wallet. Taking out a fresh twenty dollar bill and handed it over to Vic.
"Wait," Tony said, "You guys bet on whether we were going to get together?"
I couldn't help but laugh at the that. Wait? Does that mean Austin doesn't approve? I've known him for so long...
"We bet on how long it would take," Vic said, laughing, "I bet that you'd be together by the end of the day."
"And I bet it would happen in like a week," Austin said, finishing Vic's sentance, "I guess I shouldn't underestimate my little cousin's devilish good looks."
I laughed and looked at Tony, he was blushly. Austin was right though, he was very attractive, and he's all mine now.
"But from now on," Vic said, getting serious, "No PDA when we hang out together. When you're alone do whatever the fuck you want... But when Austin and I are in the room, stay off each other!"
That earned laughter from all of us. Things really are starting to look up.
We spent the rest of the day all hanging out together. We played video games and watched a bunch of movies. I had a really good time, I haven't been this carefree in a long time. After a few hours Austin left so the three of us could work on our project for a little bit.
And work we did, we finished the rest of Tony's guitar part and did all of Vic's. It was about 9 o'clock when we got their two parts recorded together, and I have to admitt, it sounds sick. Towards the end Tony came up with this guitar solo for himself which worked perfectly with the lyrics.
I walked Tony to the front door when it was time for him to leave.
"See you tomorrow?" I asked, Vic had desided that Tony was coming over tomorrow so we could do the drum part and put vocals to it. Task master.
"Of course," he said, kissing my forehead, "Goodnight!"
He walked down the driveway and turned onto the sidewalk. I sighed happily and walked towards my room, I slept a lot today, but for some reason I was still so tired. I got into bed and tucked myself in, I haven't felt this comfortable in my own skin in along time. And, no voices, my head was quiet, and I was peaceful.
