Floral and Fading (Tony Perry fanfiction)

I could feel my whole body starting to get dizzy, I had to lay back down. Harley ran to my kitchen to grab me some water while I tried to get my body to come back down to a normal steady heartbeat.

“Harley, I can’t go, I can’t see him again.” I said as my anxiety started to take over my mind. “I just can’t do it, We’re gonna see him all summer. I am going to see him every day. He hurt me Harl, Most of the songs I write are about him.” I said with defeat in my voice.

“Hey it’s going to be alright,” She said while handing me the cup of water and giving me a hug. “We aren’t going to let this one guy ruin our summer okay? We worked too hard and have been dreaming too long to let it be ruined! And besides there’s going to be 40+ bands there, I doubt you guys will cross paths.” She said releasing me from her hug.

I finished taking sips of water and replied, “Yeah you’re right, we’ve worked too hard. There’s going to be so many people on tour with us, there is no way I’m going to see him more than I have to.”

“Exactly, now come on let’s get up and start packing. Thankfully warped starts here in Dallas this year so we don’t have to travel anywhere for the first date!” Harley got up and signaled for me to join her.

“True, True.” I say while checking my phone for any emails. “Hey Harl there’s a pre warped party tomorrow for all the bands! Want to go?” I asked feeling happiness seep into my body again. “Wait, what about Oli…” I paused feeling the pit in my stomach again.

“Oh girl don’t worry,” She said as she searched something on her phone. “I checked their twitter. Oli posted that their flight is delayed and they won’t get here till tomorrow morning” She tossed her phone into my hands and read the message, I felt the tenseness in my body ease.

“To answer your other question, of course! What are you thinking about wearing?” She asked while looking through my closet.

“I honestly have no idea, want to go shopping? If we’re going to meet Pierce the Veil I want to look good.” I replied back looking through my Polyvore account for some ideas.

“Sure! Am I driving or you?” She asked.

“I can drive just give me a bit to get ready!” I told her as she was walking to my living room.

I walked to my closet and started looking through all my clothes, all I owned was black and white, it’s so hot here in Texas. That never stopped my though from wearing it all year round. After looking through my closet for a good 10 minutes I finally settled on a white crop top, high waist shorts, denim jacket, and high top vans and threw on my moon choker. I headed over to my bathroom and released my hair from its messy curly bun, and started to straighten my black layered hair. After that was done I reached into my makeup drawers and started to do a brown Smokey eye with my signature winged eyeliner. I put on some foundation and highlight and walked out into my living room.

“Ready?” I asked Harley as I was reaching for my keys and grabbing my purse from the hooks by the front door.

“Yeah, let me make sure my bangs look good first!” She said while running to my bathroom.

“Hah okay, I’ll wait for you in the car, my house hey is by the front door on the hooks!” I yelled to her while walking out my door.

“Okay!” she yelled back.

After a couple minutes Harley finally arrived back in my car. “Hey love I have my bluetooth hooked up, pick what song you want.” I said as I was back out of my parking spot.

Harley picks up my phone and started going through my music, “Since we are going to be seeing them, I decided it fits the situation.”

I hear The New National Anthem fill my car and I feel my excitement grow as her and I start singing along to the lyrics as loud as we can. We didn’t care who heard us in the cars next to us.

When we got to the mall we decided to hit up forever 21 first, after spending about 2 hours in there we finally found some items that were possible contenders for the party tomorrow night. After Forever 21, we headed to H&M to look for more possible outfit ideas. As soon as we walked in we saw two girls approach us with huge smiles on their faces. One was as short as Harley and I were, and the other was about 5’8. The shorter on ran up to us and screamed, “OH MY GOD, YOU’RE SKY AND HARLEY! FROM MEET MY FATE!!!!!!”

“Hah yes we are! Hel…” Before I could finish saying hello, I got stopped by a big hug from her. After hugging me she hugged Harley. And her tall friend followed.

“So what’s your names?” Harley asked with a smile on her face.

“Oh!” Said the shorter one, “I’m Hallie!” “And I’m Emma!” said the taller one.

“Hi Hallie and Emma! Those are pretty names!” I said with a smile on my face and waving, I always love meeting fans, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy whenever people know who we are!

“So what are you guys up to?” Asked Emma, I could tell she was a bit shyer than Hallie is.

“Oh we are actually shopping for warped!” Harley replied back.

“OH MY GOD YOU GUYS GOT ON THE WAPRED FOR THE SUMMER WE SUBMITTED YOUR BAND SO MANY TIMES!” Hallie started screaming with excitement! “EMMA AND I ARE BIG FANS, I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS! LITTLE WHITE LIE IS MY FAVORITE SONG.”
I could feel my cheeks starting to turn a bit red and so were Harleys.

“Awwww thank you so much!” Harley and I said at the same time and looked at each other and started laughing.

“Really though it means so much! We wouldn’t have made it on this tour without you guys!” Said Harley with a smile forming.

“Yeah actually you should see us! Maybe even hang with us for a bit after our set!” I said looking at both Hallie and Emma! I could see their faces lighting up!

“WE’D LOVE TO! Screamed Emma!

“We’ll see you girls in a couple days! We have a lot of packing to do!” I explained to the girls as we were about to say good bye.

“See you later!!” They both said while waving goodbye.

After finding more pieces at H&M it was time for Harl and I to call it a day and start heading home to finish packing.
