Cold, Empty Mattresses And Falling Stars

*Mike's POV*
-3 Weeks Later-

The past three weeks have been rocky for Cassidy and I but in the past couple of days I managed to convince her to go on a date with me and tonight was the night that I actually have a chance to save this relationship, this was our first night off in 2 weeks and I was going to make it as special as I could, "Hey babe?" I shouted as I was getting dressed, "Yeah?" She asked appearing at the bathroom door, "Tie, or no tie?" I asked holding up a white tie and then putting it down again, "Hmm no tie" she smiled before going back to her make up, "Okay I'm gonna go see if Vic needs anything before we go, I'll be five minutes" I said before leaving, Vic is still a little edgy after everything that has happened but I want to get him back on track as it isn't only affecting him but the band as well, he doesn't have as much joy performing as he normally does and we all miss the fiery Vic, I knocked on his door and he opened it straight away, "Ready for your date?" He asked, I sighed and nodded and I walked in, I saw that he had some Budweiser's in his fridge but I refrained from taking any despite him offering, several times, "Is she even dressed yet?" He laughed as he opened a beer for himself, I shook my head, "I told her to take her time but I didn't think she'd take this long" I laughed as I sat on the chair across from him, "Mike you need to make this right, she loves you and you love her, just fix it okay" he said as he took a sip of his beer, "I know I've already had this lecture from mom, no thanks to you for telling her" I said rolling my eyes, "Well I wasn't going to lie was I?" He laughed, I rolled my eyes again before getting up, "I only came over to see if you need anything" I said getting ready to leave, "No no, I'm fine thank you, go have a lovely time, send me a picture of you two or something yeah" he smiled, I nodded and gave him a small hug before he opened the door for me, as I turned to walk away he stopped me, "Seriously Mike, fix it" he said quietly, I sighed and looked at him before nodding, "I will" I smiled before rushing back to our room, "Hey babe, are you ready yet?" I shouted as I entered and closed the door, "I don't want to go any more" she shouted from the toilet, "What why?" I asked trying to open the door but it was locked, "My legs and face and everything about me just look hideous" she cried out, "You could never look hideous" I said softly leaning my head on the door, I heard it unlock and stepped back just in time for her to open it, she appeared before me looking more beautiful than I could ever imagine, "You look..." I started but couldn't find the words, "Revolting" "Breath taking" we said at the same time, her head shot up as she looked at me with her sparkling eyes, "Thank you" she smiled before giving me a hug., when she pulled back I gave her a quick kiss, "Okay, now move your pretty little but, we need to go" I laughed before smacking her bum on the way out.

"Okay so where are you taking me?" She asked getting giddy as she was looking around at the new and beautiful surroundings, "First we're going for dinner, then we're going on an adventure" I smiled, she rolled her eyes and sat back as we pulled up at the restaurant, "Now remember just because we're on a date doesn't mean you can't order a steak" I laughed but she just shook her head, "I've had enough of steaks no thanks to the BBQ you and the boys keep throwing everytime there is a ray of sunshine" she laughed before looking at the menu, "Hello I'm Craig (pronounced Crag) and I will be your waiter tonight" a short dumpy man smiled as he held a notepad, "You know it's pronounced Craig right, not Crag?" I asked, I felt Cassidy give me a small kick under the table but I didn't care, "No, it's pronounced Crag" he said firmly, "But it's spelt Craig" I said trying to justify my answer, "Well it's pronounced Crag" he said clearly getting temper mental, "No it's not" I said trying to be smart, I could see Cassidy going red from trying to hold in her laughter, "Yes. It. Is!" He said firmly as he was about to blow his lid, "No. It's not" I said waiting or the explosion and slowly counting down in my head from 5, "Yes it is!! It's my name I'll spell it and pronounce it how I want to!" He said raising his voice, people started looking over and laughing a little, "I would like a new waiter or waitress please, Craig" I asked, he humphed before turning on his heels and leaving, "Hey Craig, can we be buddies?" I asked shouting after him, "IT'S CRAG!" He said before disappearing, I looked over at Cassidy who was laughing to the point where she was almost crying, "You're so mean!" She choked out, before I could reply a tall, lean, blonde woman came over, "Hi my name is Carla, I'll be filling in for Craig, uh I mean Crag" she said shaking her head, I couldn't help but laugh, "Yeah I'll have the..." I paused looking at Cassidy, "Do you like Lobster?" I asked, she smiled and nodded, "I would like the Lobster for two please and the ice cream banana float boat, but you need to do this very precisley, the dessert is first and then the main, okay?" I asked, she jotted down a little side not and asked us about our drinks, "Red Wine for her?" I said, Cassidy smiled and nodded, "And a Diet Coke with ice for me please" I said, she nodded and took our menus off us before leaving, "You remembered I like the dessert before the dinner" she smiled, I nodded, "Of course I did!" I grinned back before grabbing a hold of her hand and rubbing the back of my thumb across it.
