Cold, Empty Mattresses And Falling Stars

*Cassidy's POV*

"Okay Mike we've had dinner, we've been to see my mom's grave and then got froyo, what else do you possibly have planned for tonight?" I asked wandering what his angle was, "I needed to wait" he said before starting the car, "Wait for what?" I asked confused as to why he 'needed to wait', "For your appointment" he smiled as we started driving, "Appointment? What appointment? You made me an appointment? Where?" I asked getting worried, I hate the dentist and I hate the doctors, "Here" he smiled as we pulled up outside a tattoo shop, "What?" I asked laughing in disbelief, "Well you said to me when we first met that you wanted to get two specific tattoos and a septum piercing, so I got you an appointment for all three of those things" he smiled, I shook my head, "Mike these tattoos I want will take at least 6 or 7 hours" I said, remembering him that the pieces I want aren't simple, "It's 6pm now right, I know the quickest tattoo guy, which just so happens to be this guy, I can bet you we will have you in and out of there in 5 hours tops" he smiled, "Is that a bet you're willing to stake you're money on?" I asked smirking a little, "Hmm, okay if I'm right, we have sex, if you're right, we have sex, deal or no deal" he laughed, "No, If I'm right you owe me $50, if you're right I owe you $50, either way one of us gets $50 and we have sex no matter who wins" I bargained, his eyes lit up, "Deal" he smiled before leaning over and kissing me passionately, "Ready?" He asked, I nodded and jumped out, "Dustin!" Mike shouted as we entered, "Mike this better be good" a tall thin man covered in tattoos from head to toe said as he walked out, he stopped in his tracks when he saw me, "Hello, you must be Cassidy, well you're more beautiful than Mike described" he smiled taking my hand out of Mike's and kissing it, I looked at Mike and smiled sweetly, "Okay so honey, what is it you want?" He asked, I quickly flicked through my phone and found the images of the tattoos that I wanted, "They look like a piece of pie, if you want to come through" he smiled taking Mike and I through the back with him and telling me to lie on my back on the padded table/chair, "Okay, can I have your phone for a couple seconds?" Dustin asked, I nodded and gave it to him before he disappeared over to the drawings table, "Does it hurt?" I asked Mike, he shrugged, "I mean a little, the ones that hurt the most for me was the ones on my neck, ankle and hand" he said holding up his hand to show me the Deathly Hallows sign from Harry Potter, "What about Potter and Hedwig?" I asked, he raised his hand and tilted it from side to side, "But that's because it's mostly cartilage and bone" he explained but before I could answer Dustin came back with the drawings, "Okay so I added more detail to each of these to make it more personal and unique, do you like it?" He asked, showing me the sketches, I smiled and nodded, "They look amazing" I smiled, excited to get started.

Throughout the whole of the first and midway through the second Mike held my hand and was by my side, I know I make it sound like a big deal, and it is, for me, the only reason he wasn't holding my hand throughout the second was because he was making us tea and Dustin coffee, "Dustin, how long have we been at this?" I asked trying to hold in the urge to cry due to the tremendous pain, "3 and a half hours, your septum should take no longer than 10 minutes and then by the time I bandage everything up and you guys finish your tea, it should take us to roughly 4 hours?" He guesstimated, I cursed myself for placing that bet as Mike cheered, "You owe me $50 and sex" he smiled as he handed me the tea, Dustin gave us an odd look and before I could say anything he just laughed a little, "I don't want to know" he smiled, before I could take the 6th sip of my tea Dustin declared himself done, "Well Cassidy I must say you are one of few female customers that can endure as much pain as you just did, are you sure you can handle this septum?" He asked laughing a little, I rolled my eyes, "Bring it on" I smiled, I felt Mike squeeze my hand in reassurance as I knew that he knew I was panicking, he got a long needle and done some weird thing with it, I felt a really strong pinch on my septum that made my eyes water and toes curl, next thing I knew there was a cold feeling and suddenly I was done, "That's gonna take about 3 months to heal, after that change I all you want, but in moderate timing" he laughed, I nodded and thanked him, "So how much will it be?" I asked, he thought for a second, "Just give me $50 and we'll call it even" he smiled, "Really?" I asked laughing a little in disbelief that he didn't charge me anymore he nodded, I pulled out $50 but before I knew if Mike had already handed it to him, "The date was my idea, so I'll pay" he smiled kissing my forehead quickly, we thanked Dustin and left to head back to the hotel, without Mike knowing I slipped $50 in his back pocket as he refused to take it off me, I was quite cunning if I do say so myself.
