The Boy Who Could Fly

I woke up and looked around for my phone to see what time it was, 2:30, I only slept for an hour and a half. I got up and went downstairs to see my Aunt sitting on the couch, "Oh, Charlie I thought you went with the boys." she said, I smiled "No, Auntie, I was tired and fell asleep." she nodded "Well, if you want we can go to the store to get things for dinner." She asked, I nodded and ran upstairs to grab my phone and my shoes.When we got to the store, I left my aunt to do the food shopping. I walked to over to the shampoo aisle and grabbed shampoo and conditoner.
I was walking past the movies and seen the big sale sign, I gasped when I seen my favorite movies on sale, "Dude Star Wars 1-3 nice" I said to myself, trying to hold in my inner fan geeking. "Are you a fan?" I was startled by the voice, and I looked at who was talking to me, I was met with a beatuiful smile and big brown eyes, only to realize who this person was. "Uh, actually yea, I'm a huge fan." I smiled and looked away, "That's awesome me too, I'm Tony by the way, I've never seen you at school are you new?" He asked I smirked, "Uh, yea I'm starting at Clairmont High tomorrow" I said to him, thinking how long it's gunna take him to realize it me, hmmm I wonder how long I can play this, maybe I should just break it to him. "What's your name?" He asked, I looked at him, well I better do it now. "Well, you see Tony, for as long as we have been best friends, I thought you would have recognized me, I'm a little offened Turtle." I said smiling at the name I used to call him when were kids, He looked at me "No one calls me turtle except for... Charlie?" I smiled even bigger "Are you going to give me a hug or not Tones?" I said holding my arms out, "It is really you!" He said engulfing me into the hug. We were so close with each other, He and I would always hang out during recess, and meet up at the park in our neighborhood. "what are you doing back in SD? Does Jaime know your back? Does Vic and Mik-" "Yea I seen Vic and Mike earlier today when they went to see Kai" I said cutting him off, "As for Jaime no, he doesn't know, and I plan on not letting him know. So please don't tell him." I said to Tony with pleading eyes, He nodded "at least let me take you out for lunch tomorrow okay? You can tell me what happened and why you moved home." He said I smiled and nodded "Here let me give you my number" He said giving me his phone, I put my number under "Charchar" His nickname he gave me, I looked at my phone and seen his under "turtle<3" I smiled at that, My aunt popped out and seen Tony and smiled "Antonio, it doesn't hurt to como by and say hello." she said scolded him "Sorry Mama Rosa" He replied back, the boys always caleed her Mama Rosa, "Well I'll see you tomorrow Char." He hugged me and smiled, "Okay Tone" and he walked off, "I miss those boys" my auntie said paying for our stuff "Me too auntie, me too" I replied.
On the drive home, I just thought about Jaime, I don't really want to see him. I was brought out of my thought when we stopped "What did you want to do for your birthday next week?" My aunt asked It was halloween next weekwhich ment my 18th birthday. "I don't know I'll talk to Kai" I said to her. We got home and I went up to my room, I sat on my bed for awhile looking at my phone, "Hey Char" Kai said coming in. "Hey" I replied, I smiled and told him who I ran into at the store, I wanted us all to be together again, "Vic said he was sorry for saying that and making you leave." He said I nodded, it wasn't his fault and he knew that, "Charlie, Jaime told us what happened, when he came back from Seattle, but after that he refused to talk about you." He siad I looked at him, and remebering the heartache I had. "Oh" was all I can say, "He liked you too Charlie, that's why he went up there." I nodded, "Well, it's too late now." I said to him. "Hey, I was thinking.. masquerade party for halloween next week." I said to Kai before he left the room. "That's a good idea, who are we inviting?" He asked, "You know people, spread the word" I said to him smiling. "We'll have my own party later on in the night when everyone leaves." I said to him he nodded, "Time to eat!" Auntie Rosa called. We were sitting at the table and we told Auntie Rosa what we wanted to do next week, she nodded, "sounds good where are you having it at?" She asked, I didn't even think about it. "Vic said we can have it at his house, it's bigger and Mr. & Mrs. Fuentes is out out town for a few days, but they said it was okay." Kai replied. She nodded, "Now we have to go shop for outfits" I said to Kai he nodded "maybe sometime this week okay?" He said I smiled, this was going to be fun, and I needed it.
I was getting ready for bed when I got a text from Tony,

turtle<3: Hey, are you asleep yet?
me: not yet, was talking to Kai about my birthday next week, I'll tell you tomorrow
turtle<3: okay :) tell him I said Hi yea?
me: yea I will, anyways what's up?
turtle<3: well.. I was wondering, if you wanted to grab some pizza after school?
I looked at his words, is he asking me out on a date?
me: like a date?
turtle<3:well yea, but if you want it could be just hanging out, we can invite the guys, like old times.
I smiled at that, I did miss everyone together.
me: yea, that actually sounds more fun :)
me: just us though? your not gunna invite Jaime?
turtle<3: just us, I won't tell him till your ready, okay?
me: thanks Tone, I'm gunna go to bed, I'll see you at school.
turtle<3: okay night pretty lady

I blushed at that last text, he alwasy calle dme that when we were little, I laid down, and instantly fell asleep, thinking about what tomorrow is going to bring.
