Bulletproof Love

Emily’s POV:

My alarm started singing and I checked the time. “5:00am” yay I thought out loud. I turned to find that Tony was missing from my bed. Today was the day we leave for Warped Tour, how exciting, being in a bus full of sweaty boys for the rest of summer. I rolled out of bed and picked out some clothes to wear. I headed towards my bathroom and set my stuff do0wn when I heard some hushed yelling. It was coming from the kitchen I quietly leaned against the wall and peeked through the doorway. I saw Vic and Tony arguing.

“Tony as much as I love you, and as much as I love Em, I still have this sick feeling about you two being together. I just know that one of you will end up hurt. I want you guys to be happy but I’m just scared, so if you could like back off of her for a while that’d be just dandy.” Vic told him. I rolled my eyes and then Tony spoke.

“Look Vic I don’t plan on hurting her okay? Just leave us be. Mikes okay with it, Jaime’s okay with it, why can’t you be okay with it too?” He asked. I wish Vic would just leave us alone and let us be happy.

They fought like that back and forth for a few minutes but I started to zone out, they were boring me now. I was snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of our front door slamming shut. Why must they fight like this, its only 5:30. I walked into the kitchen where I expected to find Vic but instead I found tony looking out our window.

“Where’s Vic?” I asked him.

“He went out for a drive” Tony told me. I nodded and grabbed a Vitamin Water out of the fridge. Tony pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead.

“We leave in an hour you should go get ready.” He stated. I nodded and headed towards the bathroom.

By the time I was ready and dressed in my ‘Real Friends’ tee shirt and black leggings along with my thousands of bracelets, the bus was outside and Vic had come back with coffee for everyone. Everyone was still pretty tired due to the fact that it was only 6:30am. Me, Tony, Vic and Mike stood at the bottom of the stairs we were waiting for Jaime to get here. Cameron came down and hugged us all, she also told me to keep her updated on the turtle. Not long after Jaime came running down the stairs almost falling over himself.

“Come on guys! Get pumped!” he yelled. We all just stared at him.

“I thought you went home last night Himes.” Mike said.

“Nah I just went to the store! I stayed in the guest room.” He said happily.

“Jaime Cameron is staying in there.” I said then looked at her face turn from pale to bright red.

“Oh I get it.” I said again with a wink. We heard the bus honk telling us it was time to get going. I gave Cam a really big hug before I left. She was house sitting for us you could say, which actually meant she hated her parents and we were kind enough to let her stay at our place for the time being. Her and Jaime exchanged a hug that was a little too friendly and then he joined us on the bus.

“Here is the extra bunk this will be yours.” Vic said pointing to the empty bunk closest to the ground. I nodded and threw all of my crap into my new bed. Today was a travel day so there was no show to get ready for, we ended up just talking and playing video games all night. This could turn out to be a pretty could summer.
