Counting The Stars and Scars

*Max's POV*

When we pulled into the drive way I thought it was weird that the shades were drawn and curtains shut, I'm sure we opened them before we left? I just shrugged it off as we got out of the car, what was even more weird was the living room door was closed, we never close that. I looked at Jaime and grabbed a hold of his arm as we entered the living room, it was dark, "Jaime?" I whispered looking around nervously, "What's going on?" I asked, shaking a little, "I have no idea!" He said as we shuffled towards the lights, flicking them on, there was a massive banner with 'CONGRATULATIONS!' written over it, finally Mike, Tony and Vic jumped up from behind the sofa, "CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!!" They shouted very loudly, I almost jumped out of my skin as they started laughing at me, I nuzzled my face into Jaime's arm as it was going bright red from embarrassment, he started laughing, "Thank you so much" He said leading us over to everyone, there was hugs all around even an awkward one from Mike, I still haven't gotten over what happened, I'm still so confused, "We're all having a mini party at our place to celebrate this little one" Vic said pointing to my stomach, "Be there for 7:30pm" Tony said winking before they left, we didn't even have a chance to tell them the gender, idiots. I sighed as I collapsed on the couch, staring at the ceiling, I know Tony likes me, I'm pretty sure Mike does too, and I know that Jaime is truly in love with me, I feel so guilty I could never tell him it would break his heart and he'd leave me forever, as I thought about it I could feel myself starting to cry, "Max?" Jaime said cautiously, I looked at him smiling and drying my eyes, "What's up?" He asked, I started laughing, "Nothing I was just thinking about how much our lives have changed over the past 4/5 years" I said, lying, "Yeah I know, it's amazing" he said believing me, I hate lying to him but it's kinda true, it's weird how our lives have been impacted so much in the past couple of years, I was tired so I decided to go to bed for a couple of hours before the party, Jaime was going to do the cleaning up as I was too exhausted and the house was a mess, thanks for that Winter.

I was lying in my bed when I heard a knock at the door and Winter barking, I walked downstairs and I couldn't see Jaime, maybe he forgot his keys? I opened the door and standing there was Jason with a evil smirk on his face, I managed to look past him and see Jaime's car was in the drive, before I could shout he pushed me back into the wall and covered my mouth, "Having a baby eh?" He said before grabbing my hair and pulling me upstairs, he pushed me on the bed but I tried to fight back, he started straddling me and punched me in the face a couple of times before getting off me and throwing me on the ground, he stood over me and laughed, I looked to my side and saw Jaime standing at my bedroom door, "JAIME HELP!" I managed to scream before being slapped, Jason then started kicking my back and my stomach, "JAIME!!!", I screamed again but he just stood there staring at me, "HELP!" I shouted hoping someone near by would hear me as I had my bedroom window open, "Please" I started to cry, looking at Jason but he just kept kicking and punching me, I finally found the strength to push him off but before I could get up he stood on my recently fractured ankle, I whimpered out in pain, it hurt so much.

"Max!" Jaime shouted as he shook me about, I jumped awake, sitting up and looking around in a panic, I started to cry when I realized it was only a dream, "What happened? You were shouting on me and then for help?" he asked holding me close as I cried, "I had a nightmare about Jason beating me up and you were there but you were just standing at the door staring at me, you wouldn't help me!" I cried even harder into him, "Sshh, I'm here now" he said cooing me as he rubbed my back, I nodded, pulling back and staring at him, he wiped away the tears under my eyes with his thumb, "I'd never let anyone or anything hurt you, I love you" He said, kissing my forehead, I took a deep breath trying to calm myself down and regulate my breathing, "I love you too" I said kissing his lips, we pulled away I smiled at him, "Go get a shower, it's 5:30pm" he said getting up and turning the shower on for me, I closed my eyes and thought about the nightmare I just had, but it was so realistic? I thought as I made my way to the bathroom.
