Counting The Stars and Scars

*Max's POV*

We were waiting in the little room at the hospital when I saw a familiar face, I knew exactly who it was, Molly, I fucking despise that thing. I started bouncing my head nervous for two reasons 1) In case Molly actually noticed me and 2) Because we were seeing our little baby today for that I was also excited. She started walking our way and I buried my head into Jaime's arm, praying that she didn't notice me, "Are you okay?" He asked laughing a little as he rubbed my back, I shook my head and pointed slyly over to where Molly was standing, I heard him growl under his breathe, I thought she was still in prison? I started to rub his arm to calm him down, then I heard my name, "Max Crooks?" Said a woman, I looked up and saw a tall, skinny, blonde haired woman in a white coat and blue uniform holding a clipboard staring at me, I quickly got up dragging Jaime with me so I didn't have to face Molly. We were taken into a small white room with a bed and a couple monitors, before she asked me to jump up on the bed she gave me a small plastic container and told me to give her a pee sample, I made my way to the toilet that was joined on the room and filled it, I came back with the cup and handed her it, a little disgusted as she took it out of the room. About 5 minutes later she came back and stood beside in the seat Jaime was sitting in so she could see both of us, "How far along did you say you thought you were?" She asked at looked Jaime and looked back at the nurse, "About 8-9?" I said guesstimating, she smiled at both of us, "Just as I suspected, you are exactly 8 and a half weeks pregnant, congratulations!" She squealed, I'm pretty sure she was more excited than me, I looked at Jaime, we grinned at each other.

"Would you like to see your baby?" She asked and we both nodded, I unbuttoning my jeans and pulled my top up a little, "This will most likely be cold" she said, squeezing a cold gel on my stomach, sending shivers up my spine, I grabbed Jaime's hand and squeezed it a little. The nurse started moving the wand about a little pressing a few buttons on the machine finally making a picture appear on the screen in black and white, she pressed a couple more buttons and we heard the heart beat, I could feel myself starting to tear up, this is real, we're having a baby and it's going to be beautiful, "Everything appears to seem healthy and I think we are able to get the gender if you would like it?" She said, I looked at Jaime and smiled he nodded as did I, "Yes please" I said she nodded and walked out of the room, "I have a feeling it's going to be a boy" Jaime said, I laughed a little, "No it's definitely a girl" I said smiling at him, "How's that?" He said looking confused, "Mothers intuition" I said shrugging, "That's not a thing" he smirked, I just gave him a look as the nurse walks back in the room holding a folder, "In here are some things just to give you some tips on being a parent and what your diet should be, also there are at least 6 photos of your scan which are free if you would like anymore you will have to pay the standard fee" she said, turning the monitor off and giving me a baby wipe to wipe off the gel, I nodded taking the folder from her, "As for the gender it is...." She said trailing off, teasing a little, "A GIRL!!" She squeaked I smiled at Jaime as he stood up hugging and kissing me, "Told you" I said smirking a little, he just rolled his eyes, we thanked the nurse and left . The whole journey home we sat in comfortable silence just thinking about how we are having a baby girl, I couldn't wait!!
