Counting The Stars and Scars

*Jaime's POV*
Max came back through with a couple of bowls of popcorn, gummy bears, Doritos, two small pints of Ben and Jerry's Cookie Dough Ice Cream and a case of 8 beers with some orange soda. I know that doesn't sound like a lot but it was enough for two people, "So what are we watching?" She asked running up stairs to get changed into comfy clothes, "Well..." I started as she came back down the stairs, I don't think I'll ever get used to how stunning she is, "We have Finding Nemo, The Princess and the Frog, Up, I know that's a Pixar movie but just go with it and finally, Camp Rock 1 and 2!!" I said smiling at all the DVDs spread out in front of us on the coffee table and turning out the lamp so the only source of light our phones and TV. We put finding Nemo on first and by the we got to Up, we had drank all 8 bears ate one and a half bowls of popcorn between us, Max ate the majority of Doritos and I ate the majority of the gummy bears, there was still a full of orange left and Max was passed out laying over me on the couch, peacefully sleeping, I turned the TV off and the lamp next to me on, I would normally carry her up the stairs but I have a broken leg so I just picked the blanket that was on the floor up, throwing it over the both of us, god I missed this while I was in the hospital.

-6 days-
I was woke to the smell of hot chocolate, pancakes, bacon and fresh pine leaves also the sudden drop in temperature, as I opened my eyes slowly as there were bright multicolored lights in front of me, I noticed that it was the lights of our Christmas tree and Max was standing in front of it, admiring it with her head tilted to the side slightly, she also had a cup of something in her hand that she was slurping on, I could only guess that it could be hot chocolate, she looked over at me, I have been sleeping on the couch, which is actually quite comfotable, I'm going to try make it up stairs in a couple of days because it'll be Christmas Eve, "Morning sleepyhead" she said coming over and giving me a kiss on the lips, yep, definitely hot chocolate, "Morning beautiful" I said, "Max it's 11am how did you manage to get the Christmas tree from Vic's to here, put it up, decorate it, make breakfast, shower and get ready all so early?" I said stunned that she managed to do that by herself, "Well actually Vic and Tony helped me put the tree up, quietly, because we didn't want to wake you, Alysha and I decorated it while Vic and Mike made us breakfast and Tony decided just tidied up a little?" She said, all in one breath, I heard a load of 'Hey's' and 'Yoo-Hoo's' coming from the kitchen, I laughed to myself as I grabbed my crutches and got up, making my way to the kitchen to see Alysha and Mike snuggling together while Vic and Tony were talking about mountain biking, "Hi guys" I said waving my hand I got an echo of 'Hellos' and 'Good Mornings' I poured myself some coffee and Max came over beside me, resting her head on my shoulder, "I love Christmas, it brings everyone together" she sighed as we watched our 'Familia' talk and bicker over different things.

Christmas couldn't come soon enough, I wanted to open all the presents under the tree, it's just so exciting!! I can't believe I'm getting to spend a fourth year with my beautiful girlfriend we've been through thick and thin and I can't believe that I nearly lost her!! I was brought out of my thoughts when there were fingers being snapped in my face, "Isn't that right, Himes?" Max said, "Hmm, what?" I asked a little confused as to why everyone was staring at me, "We're not trying for a baby but if it happens then it happens?" Max said, looking at me, "Alright, yeah" I said, still a little dazed, "Are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost or something?" She asked sounding a little concerned, I nodded giving her a reassuring smile. How do you tell someone that you were imagining their life after you died? I'm guessing you just don't.

After having breakfast Max helped me get changed and we all gathered over at the Mike and Vic's parents house for a family dinner as Max and I wouldn't see anyone because we're having a quiet day in, relaxing, "Oh my dear boy!! Look at you!!" Vivian came rushing over, "I'm fine, Vivian, honestly" I said laughing a little, "What happened?" She said as we made our way to the kitchen beside everyone else, "I got in a car accident on my way to apologise to Max because we had an argument" I said looking at Max, she looked upset, for some reason, as she had her head in her hands and Mike was kneeling next to her, "Why wasn't I told this? Why am I never told anything?" she saiad smacking Mike and Vic around the head which seemed to make Max laugh, "Max, my dear, why are you crying?" Vivian asked as I made my way over to her, she shook her head and continued to cry, "Come on I'll take you outside" Mike said as they stood up and walked out, I hope she's okay, I know that she blames herself for what happened to me and gets upset everytime someone brings it up, but it's not her fault, none of it is and she needed to understand that.
