Counting The Stars and Scars

*Max's POV*

"Guess who's here!!" I shouted as I entered the house, I had whole load of people run towards me and give me massive group hug, it felt good to be back, although Winter was getting more attention than me. We were sitting having dinner when I rememered that I didn't text anyone to tell them that I arrived, "Can I be excused?" I asked my auntie, she nodded as she had a mouth full of enchiladas so couldn't speak. I walked from the dining table to the kitchen, and texted Jaime, Vic, Mike and Tony.

To- Mikey<3
"Mike, I arrived safely, I miss you and the guys, see you soon, love you xx"

To- Vic<3
"Vic, I arrived safely, is Jaime okay? See you soon love you xx"

To- Tone<3
"Tone, I got here safely, in case you aren't kept in the loop, I am in San Fran for a bit, miss you love you too xx"

To- Himes<3
"Jaime, I arrived safely, I miss you and love you so much, stay safe xx"

I got a text back from Mike and Tony basically saying, okay love you too, stay safe, I got one from Vic saying, "That's good, Jaime is okay, love you too" I kinda got the same from Jaime but he said that he had a surprise for me, I was a bit confused but I was relieved that we were okay, I went back to the dinner table to finish my dinner. While I was helping my auntie wash up, I got a phone call from an unkown number I looked at her, "Answer it!" she said, so I did, "Hello?" I said, the voice on the other end of the phone was deep, "Good evening, is this Max Crooks?" the person on the other end of the phone asked, my auntie was staring at me the whole time, "Okay, I'm sorry to have to infrom you that Jaime Preciado has been involved ina serious car crash" my heart sunk, I didn't know what to do so I just stayed quiet letting the tears flow, "He is in a critical state and we would appreciate it very much if you could come to the hospital in San Fransisco" he said, "Okay" is all I could say and then I hung up, I looked at my auntie and broke down, screaming "JAIME!!! NOO NOO, JAIME!!" I shouted shrinking to the floor, my aunt comforting me, "Marty!! Start the car we're going to the hospital!!" she shouted as she was taking me outside, I couldn't stop the tears or bare the fact that I might lose him, I can't lose him, I love him so much! I was silently sobbing the whole way there and as soon as we parked I ran out and ran to the front desk, "Hi, how can I help you?" the receptionist asked in a cheery voice, "Mr Jaime Preciado?" I said, she "stopped smiling and got it, walking me down the corridor to this room, she turned to me, "It's not as bad as it looks, he has fell into a coma but he is sure to make it" I just nodded as she opened the door the first thing I saw was how white and clean it was the second thing I saw was my boyfriend, lying there in a bed, hooked up to all thses noisy machines. I ran over sitting in the seat beside him and holding his hand.

-2 Days Later-

I was walking back to Jaime's room with three cups of coffe, I looked a mess, I haven't left this hospital in 2 days, I am not leaving him on his own. I had bags under my eyes from lack of sleep and my hair was all over the place and I havent changed my clothes, but my auntie and uncle were coming in with clean clothes and other bits and pieces. When I reached his room, the nurse was there taking notes, when she turned around and looked at me she gave me a faint smile, motioning for me to sit on the chair, she laughed at the amount of coffee I had, I was a little embarrassed, "Don't be embarrassed I was the same when my husband had a heart attack, I would not leave his side" she said, I gave her a weak smile, "How is he?" I croaked, "Well, everything seems to be alright I can't give you a day for him to wake up but it should be very soon" she said I nodded and she smiled as she was leaving she turned around, "You do know that people in comas can still hear you, speak to him a little, it'll be good for you..and him" and with that she left, and I did as I was told, I was telling him about how much I love him and what we're gonna do when he wakes up, I climbed in the bed beside him and fell asleep. I was awoken when there was a knock at the door, "We bring clothes" my auntie said lifting up a bag, with Marty behind her. I greeted them and then went off to get changed, I looked at myself in the toilet mirror, I looked rough but not as rough as before. There were other clothes in the bag, meaning that they knew I was going to stay here as long as it takes. We were all sitting there having a joke and laugh when I must have fell asleep because when I woke they were gone.

Mike, Vic and Tony came in at about 7pm last night and left at 1pm this afternoon, I couldn't handle being tired, bored and worried all that once, there were too many emotions, I was baout to go back to sleep when I felt my hand being squeezed, I looked up and I saw Jaime's eyes flickering, "Jaime!?" I whispered as excitment built up in me, he gave a small moan back and I jumped to my feet running outside, "NURSE HE'S AWAKE, NURSE! NURSE!" I shouted as I waved my hands and a nurse came running, she was doing something with his monitors while I was standing at the door and then I heard it... I heard him, "Ma-x?" he murmured loud enough for me to hear, I got so excited I started crying, running over and grabbing his hand, "I'm here Jaime, I'm here" I said as I gave him a kiss on the forehead, he's awake!! Jaime is awake!!
