Counting The Stars and Scars

*Jaime's POV*

I could hear a faint beeping noise and I felt something around my hand, I squeezed it, I figured out it was another hand, "Jaime!?" I heard someone whisper, I gave a small moan back to ensure them I was awake, "NURSE HE'S AWAKE, NURSE! NURSE!" I heard someone shoutI know that voice anywhere "Ma-x?" I murmured loud enough for her to hear, I heard her gasp and come running over, "I'm here Jaime, I'm here" she said giving me a kiss on the forehead, it felt so good to feel her touch again, I opened my eyes to see her standing over the top of me, she was crying, "Why are you crying?" I asked in a sleepy tone, "Because I thought I'd lost you?" she said, sniffined, I opened my arms she bent over giving me a cuddle, I sat in an up right position, staring at Max, "You look beautiful!!" I said and she blushed, I sarted asking the nurse questions like 'How long was I out?' she told me '3-4 days 'Did anyone hand a teddy bear and chocolates?' Yes- the paramedics brought them in she winked, knowing they were for Max, Max wasn't in the room at the moment she was calling the guys to tell them I woke up, I also asked 'When do I get to leave?' And that answer was in 3 days after they keep me in and do a couple tests. Max came back and sat next to me, as the nurse was leaving she turned around, "I'll bring in that order" she said giving me a half smile and walking out, "What order?" Max asked, "Your surprise, that's how I ended up here actually, I was coming to see you and apologise but I got hit with on coming traffic" I said, explaining how I ended up in a hospital so near to her, "She go up and climbed in beside me, turning so I was spooning her, "So, it's my fault if you had've died, just like my parents..." she said trailing off I could feel her shake and start to cry, "No baby, no. None of this is your fault, if anything it's mine for getting jealous over you and Mike." I reassured her, I felt her nod, but she didn't believe me.

After a while the guys came in looking pretty smart, "Jaime!!!" Tony shouted before I shushed him pointing at Max, he raised his hands and pulled a face, they gave me a hug and then sat down in the chairs, we had a talk and a laugh for a while and then Vic and Tony disappeard to get us some chinese, I really had to pee so I asked Mike to watch Max as she was still asleep, I don't know how but when I came back Max was curled up into Mike, sitting on his knee, I looked at him and squinted my eyes, until he noticed me, I came back in and sat on the bed Max got off of Mike and came and curled up into me, "What's wrong baby?", I asked, rubbing her back, "I had a nightmare and when I woke up you weren't here and I didn't know where you were?" she said sniffing, by the time Max had calmed down Vic and Tony arrived with the chinese, we were all talking and having fun, just like the good old times, I heard a knock at the door and the nurse from earlier walked in, "I have that order?" she said, grinning I nodded and put my hands over Max's eyes, she came in with all the presents, I looked at her wondering how the flowers managed to survive the crash, but she just wnked and left again, I took my hands away from Max's eyes and she gasped, running over to the massive bear from costcos, she came running back over and straddling me, "You are forgiven!" she said, before leaning over and kissing me, it was a long passionate kiss, I wanted Mike to know that she was mine even if he did have a girlfriend. I started running my hands down her side, stopping at he ass, I started squeezing it as we made out, making her moan in my mouth, she started playing with my hair as I moved down to her neck, then her collar bone and then her neck, leaving small hickeys everywhere, "Right guys, break it up, I think we've seen enough" Vic said laughing, we pulled apart, Max decided to lay on me, her face turning red from embarrassment, "I think that's our queue to leave?" Tony said awkwardly as they gathered their things and said their goodbyes.

A couple of hours later, Max and I were alone, "Max?" I said watching her as she was cleaning up after everyone, "Himes?" she replied, still cleaning up, "I think you should go back to your uncles and aunts for the night, get a proper sleep in a proper bed?" I said, she turned around staring at me with dead eyes, "I'm not leaving you!" she said sternly, staring me down, "I know but don.." I said, but she cut me off, "No I don't, I am prefectly happy sleeping where ever as long as it's near you, my uncle and aunt are bringing my suitcase and things in tomorrow with our christmas presents, so I'm not leaving!" she said, starting to get a little angry, I just sighed, "But we didn't buy them anything?" I said upset, "They said that seeing you in person for the first time is the best present, even if you were half bashed to death" she laughed, I just smiled, they are so nice and kind, imagine what her parents were like, I patted the spot on the bed beside me and she came and curled into a ball, "You get to meet Winter on Friday too!" she said, "Whos' Winter?" I asked, confused, "Our dog!" she said looking up, "We are not keeping that greyhound" I said, trying to be the man of the house, "We'll see" she said smiling and going to sleep. God damn it, I think we just got a dog?
