Mike’s P.O.V.

As we all walked through the hospital, we didn’t know what to expect. Lily had always known too much, now she remembered to little. We didn’t know what she would be like without the baggage of her past. We reached her room and opened the door quietly. She was sitting on her bed, looking at her moose on the floor.
“Hello Lillian.” the doctor said from behind us. She sat up and threw the covers over her head. He sighed and then walked in. He grabbed a chair and brought it next to the bed. “There are some people here to see you.” he said. Lily did nothing so he got up and left. “Good luck. Tell me if she does anything.” We walked in and he closed the door behind us. Lily got out of the covers and moved the chair back to where it was. The circle we had made with the chairs was just as we had left it. She got back on the bed and looked over the edge t her moose. I walked over and picked it up.
“No!” she screamed so I put it back on the floor. She looked at me with fear. I knelt down and she backed to the other side of the bed. I reached my hand halfway across the bed. She reached and moved further away. I didn’t move. She sat there looking at it. After a minute I reached down, grabbed her moose, and put it in my hands. I got up and sat on the bed crossed legged and put the moose on my lap. Lily looked at me, then her moose, then me again. She slowly crawled over and sat on my lap. She snuggled in and reached over for her moose. I gave it to her then went to hug her. She pushed my arms away with a scared whine and looked at me in fear and I understood. They had scared her and made her lose trust. She thought that I would hurt her and her moose. When I didn’t she must have realized I might be okay. By hugging her I trapped her and that she didn’t like. I motioned for the guys to come over. They all climbed onto the bed. At first Lily got scared. She looked up at me with that helpless look. I looked down at her and smiled. She got up and walked over to the chair circle and sat on the couch. I got up and sat in my recliner. Vic, Jaime, and Tony took their spots. We all got comfortable, then out of the blue, “Who’s Lily?”
