The Last Punch
Black, White, with a Splash of Gold
Tony and I fell asleep on the couch and Ghostie starts to get up and move around on my chest. I shake him off to make him lay back down, when the doorbell rings. I groan and move to the door, when I get near the door two voices muffle and hush each other.
I open the door and I see Adrien and Shep beaming at us, Adrien runs into me and gives me a giant hug. I smile up at Shep and slam into his tight embrace.
"What are you guys doing here?!" I uttered in astonishment. Tony got up and greeted the guys.
"Well, we came here a bit early." Adrien explained.
"Well I see that, but why?" I asked.
"We are planning our wedding for two weeks from now. And we needed you to help!" Shep spoke for Adrien, who was infatuated now with Ghostie. Shep laughed and looked at me. “I love being back here..” He breathed in and gave me another hug. “So Adrien brought a list.” She said poking Adrien’s small leather backpack.
“A list?” Adrien asked, looking at him. “More like a binder!” He said swinging around his backpack and whipping out a big black binder.
“Is that all wedding stuff?” Tony asked in astonishment. Adrien chuckled and nodded. Making his way over to the sitting area.
“So what I was thinking was a wedding soon because LA is beautiful this time of year, we would do a black, white, with a splash of gold theme. This will nicely accent the local bright flowers. We need to find a park, the dos beautiful park money can buy! I am a princess and I need a perfect wedding!” Adrien stated defiantly. We all laughed and Shep kissed his cheek.
“I love you.” Shep whispered, just loud enough for us all to hear.
“So have you visited Mel?” I asked curiously, knowing she would love to know about the wedding.
“When we got here last night we visited her quick and told her about our plans. She promised she’d keep us coming here a secret ‘till we saw you guys!” Shep explained.
“So.. anyways I want you and Mel to be my maids of honor! The dresses I was thinking of were long, black and white dresses with a bold, gold necklace.” Adrien explained handing me a picture of the dress.
I gasped when I saw how beautiful and form fitting they were.
The boys soon described how the wedding would happen and that fittings are tomorrow, for both the men and the woman. The groomsmen just had plain suits. Shep and Adrien had both decided on the groomsmen and bridesmaids together. They said they ditched the idea of a group wedding because they couldn’t wait for Mel and I to be ready for a wedding.
Mama and Papa Hartley and the doggies are being flown in today to get fitted for tomorrow. This was all coming together so quick, I wasn’t stunned at how quick Adrien could manage to make appointments and settle ideas. Now, the only thing left to do is venues, furniture, decor, and seating.
