The Last Punch
Boutique's and Um...
"No! I told you bright white, not eggshell!" I say with poison dripping from my words to the boutique worker. "I specifically looked at the color descriptions and made sure it stated they were bright white."
Shep runs his arm on mine trying to calm me down, working when he nuzzles his side into mine; instantly allowing me to relax. The boutique worker runs into the back trying to find the right color and I sit down.
Alex looks at me and pulls out a Snickers from her bag, "Eat a Snickers, you're not you when you're hungry."
"Is that a fat joke?" I whisper loudly, mocking a stereotypical pole up the bottom bride. We all laugh, bringing the tension down in the room and we start talking about other wedding details.
"So we decided on the Universal City Overlook, you can see the entirety of the city and we were thinking a dusk wedding so we can all watch the stars." Shep informs the party... Which I've yet to introduce to you! Oh! My! God!
So I have Alex as a maid of honor, obviously. While Shep has Mel, which he insists be spelled 'honour' using the Brit spelling. We have Toby for a groomsman of mine and Shep has his best friend, Cobi, from London flying down.
I'm expecting the best out of this, considering Shep and I have been excitingly planning this forever (don't tell but I've had it planned since I agreed to move to England with him.)
Shep goes on to the details of the flowers and I get tapped on the shoulder by Bradley, wedding boutique extraordinary to go see the dress.
When we go around the corner no dress sits on the stand where it usually would go.
"Um Bradley, where is the gown you went loo--" I am cut off by the boy pressing against my waist.
"Listen, I know how much wedding stress is. I see it everyday in here," the tall clean of piercing blond says. "I know how to get rid of stress, it is just one simple load off."
I move my head up to avoid his oncoming attempt to kiss me and see two dresses, sized and fit to Melody and Alex. As soon as I see the dresses I know, I go along with Bradley whispering out a short and fake moan into his hair which sits on my chin.
I knee him in the private and run to the dresses, taking them off the rack with them still in the protective plastics to bring them to Alex and Mel, along with Shep and Toby.
---
"Oh my word! He did what?" Shep yells from the passenger seat.
"Babes this is the fourth time I've had to tell you the story calm down."
After the whole boutique fiasco we went to go visit the park and everyone is in love with it. We pull up to Alex's apartment and unload. This has been enough crazy for today.
I pull Shep into the guest room and lay down for the day, and night.
