The Last Punch

"We're home!" Mel yelled as we walked through the door. I was quick to close the door due to the weather getting progressively cooler. "Hellllooo!" Mel said again, walking up the stairs with me trailing close behind. As we made it to the living room we laughed as we saw Adrien passed out on top of Shep on the couch. Mel and I both pulled out our phones and opened snapchat. Taking pictures and videos of them.
"Wait where's Tony?" I said laughing and adding a caption to the picture. Mel shrugged and she looked up from her phone.
"Bathroom maybe?" Mel added. I huffed and walked over to the kitchen. Putting my bag on the white and black granite countertops. Mel looked at the TV and began to watch whatever interior designer show Shep and Adrien were watching this time.
"I'm gonna FaceTime with Jaime and Ellie and Ghostie..." I said holding my phone in my hand and heading for my room.
“Have fun.” She said monotone. I pulled the door open and I gasped as I saw Tony sitting on the edge of my bed. My hand shot over my heart and I giggled.
“What are you doing silly!? You scared me!” I said catching my breath. He laughed and looked at the ground.
“I love you Axl.” He said smiling. “So much.” He added.
“Is everything okay?” I asked curiously, having a feeling of nervousness. “Did something happen?” I added as I moved toward my laptop. I grabbed it and turned around to look at him. I was hugging the laptop closely and I smiled.
“Nothing happened. I have just been thinking…” He said looking at me. I couldn’t identify what was in his voice, but it wasn’t sadness and it wasn’t fury.
“Thinking about what Tone? You know you can talk to me Tone, about anything. You know that.” I said rushing. My body was still, nervous at what he was thinking of.
“That’s the thing, you’re always there for me. I’ve come such a long way and spent so much time on getting you back. I can’t lose you again. It would kill me.” He said looking up at me. I shook my head and quickly sat next to him, still holding my laptop tight.
“You’re never gonna lose me; if I don’t lose you.” I confirmed looking into his eyes. “I never want to be away from you Tone. I love you so much. I’ve never felt more complete with anyone else.” I stated. I’ve said this so much in my life but today was the day that it actually held true, it was the only time in my life that I’ve meant these words.
“I want to spend the rest of my life with you Axl.” Tony said as he casually reached for his pocket. He reached for something that wasn’t so casual. I held my breath and widened my eyes. The item was small. Small and shiny.
“Tone-“
“Will you marry me Axl?” Tony said holding a ring in front of me. I gasped and covered my mouth. It was the exact ring that I fell in love with earlier.
“Tone…” I said in awe. “Tone- Yes… Yes!!” I said realizing what had just been asked of me. And I was more than happy with the idea of being with Tony for the rest of my life. I never loved anyone more.
