I Introduce The Selfish Machine
Two
I was holding on to Tony's hand, dragging him back into the reception hall, and at the best moment too. A slow song came on as soon as we hit the dance floor.
"Grab my hips, Tony." I said, wrapping my arms around him.
He blushed. "I-I don't-"
"Grab em!" I said. Tony grabbed my hips and we began to dance.
After a few seconds, I began to speak again. "We're going to show your friends that you can be a man and show my sister I'm not always so bitter."
Tony laughed. "Okay, Piper Lynn."
"I'm going to step on your foot."
"Not you're not." I looked up to see Tony grinning at me.
The song ended quickly, and then I realized, I didn't really want it to end.
I saw Vic and Leanna staring at us. I hugged Tony as tight as I could. "Thanks for the dance, Tony!" I said, loud enough for people at the table to hear me.
"You're welcome, Piper Lynn." He said, smiling at me. I couldn't help but smile and laugh at him. I walked away from Tony slowly, then headed to the bar to get another drink. I was still smiling. Tony was adorable.
As I was ordering my drink, I heard footsteps behind me. Tony leaned over the bar and looked at me.
"I got a high-five from the guys." Tony said.
"I told you, you looked manly." I said, receiving my beer from the bartender.
"Yeah, thanks for the help Piper."
I smiled at him. "You're welcome, Tony."
"So, the real reason I came over here was to get your number and see if maybe, I don't know, maybe you would want to hang out sometime?" Tony asked.
My jaw dropped with a smile. "Tony Perry, are you asking me on a date?" I asked.
He blushed, making me laugh. "Well, I mean, if you don't-"
"Tony, I hate anything about romance. You have to get that, but I mean, I would be okay with hanging out with you." I took Tony's phone and typed my number in it.
He smiled. "Thanks, Piper Lynn." He said.
I laughed. "Shut up, Tony." I kissed his cheek and walked away, smiling at the thought of Tony Perry.
