I Introduce The Selfish Machine

"Piper Lynn, oh my God." Tony said as he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer to him.
Then, it happened.
I hadn't cried since I was thirteen, and here I was, bawling my eyes out into Tony's chest.
"He's dead! Tony, Tony, he's dead and he'll never be coming back." I cried. I felt my knees buckle and start to give out, but Tony held me up close to his body. "He's gone. Gone. The only man I ever loved is gone."
"Piper Lynn, I'm-I'm- I didn't mean to-" Tony began to say.
I pulled away from the hug. "No, I mean, it had to come out at some point. Tony, that's why I can't let myself love you, because if I do-" I started to choke again. "Then something like that will happen and destroy me. I can't take it again."
I wasn't looking at Tony, my eyes were closed and burning from the makeup I was crying off, but I knew he had got on his knees and was holding one of my hands.
"Piper Lynn, I know I will never be able to make up for what happened to you. How could I? But I do promise you that I am completely in love with you. I've fallen in love with you so quickly I'm so surprised. I will never leave you. I will stay by you, and I know you might never be able to say that you love me, but it's okay, because I'm completely in love with you and I will show you that everyday if you just let me."
Ladies and gentlemen, Tony Perry. The sweetest man on the earth.
Before I could reply, I heard screaming girls all scream at once. I opened my eyes to see a group of girls behind Tony.
"Tony Perry!" They shouted and ran to him. He stood up, smiling and waving at them.
"Tony, Tony, can we take a picture?" A girl asked.
"I would love to, but I don't know if right now is that great of a time." He looked back at me when he said that.
"Aw man." A girl said.
I smiled and stepped forward next to Tony. "You turtle, it's a great time! They ran all the way backstage for this, and they're just so adorable! I'll even take the picture!" I said, forcing a smile at Tony.
Tony mouthed Are You Sure to me and I just smiled and nodded.
The girls surrounded Tony, all giggling and complimenting him. He is so loved by all the girls and so many more, and he loves them. Tony is the best guy ever, and the one guy in a long time that, even though my blood cells don't want it to happen, I'm falling in love with.
