Alexis’ POV

It’s been a few days since my doctor’s appointment and our movie night, and honestly everything was going well. The meal plan and schedule was working perfect for me and I was feeling better, healthier even. The guys have been staying here a lot, but there have been no arguments or awkward questions.

Being around the four of them at once can be exhausting sometimes, so since they had passed out drunk in the living room and had no sign of waking up anytime soon, I took the opportunity to go out back and smoke a cigarette and just take a minute for myself. But before I could even get one out I heard the back door open.

“Lex?” I heard a low sleepy voice from the doorway.

I turned to see a very tired and tipsy Jaime.

“Lexi, it’s late, what are you doing?” He said with a slight slur. He hasn’t called me that in forever he must be pretty drunk.

“I just needed a minute.”

“Are you okay?”

“I’m fine, Jaime, go back inside.”

He glanced at me before walking inside, but returned shortly after with a blanket, some crackers and some juice.

“Jaime..”

“You looked cold, and I don’t want a hangover plus Mike snores like a train, so just pretend I’m not hereeee.” He said covering his face.

He’s still just as goofy as the day I met him.

I wrapped the blanket around me before pulling out a cigarette and lighting it. We sat in silence for a few minutes, with me smoking and eating a few crackers here and there.

“Lexi?”

“Yes Jaime?”

“I’m really sorry.”

“What?”

“I’m sorry for being such an asshole. I didn’t know the full story and for years I’ve been mean to you for a reason that didn’t exist. I’m sorry for hurting you, if there is anyway I can-”

“It’s okay, I forgive you.” I cut him off. “Thank you for apologizing, it means a lot.” Drunk words or not, he seemed genuine.

“I’ll make it up to you, I promise, I’ll do everything I can to get your trust back and to be a good friend.”

I put out my cigarette out and stood up. “Come on drunky pants, let's go back inside and check on the others, and I can pull out some blankets for you to sleep in the guest room.”

He smiled and hopped up before following me in.


The Next Morning.

For the first time in 2 years, I woke up feeling good about life. I was excited for the day. I was getting my old life back one step at a time, and it was so relieving. I know I still have a long way to go but with the support and love from Tony and the guys, I feel like I can do it. I will do it.

I got up and did my business before hopping on the scale. At the doctors appointment I weighed about 90lbs. So far I’ve been following the schedule to a T, but have avoided the scale in fear that I would still be losing weight.

“Come on, give me some good news.” I said before opening my eyes and looking down.

92.6lbs

“TONY!!” I yelled “TONY COME HERE, HURRY!”

I heard pounding footsteps before my door was thrown open.

“What?! What’s wrong?!?!”

“Look!” I squealed and pointed down.

“Oh my god, that’s great!!”

“We heard yelling, what’s going on?” I looked over to see the others in the doorway looking concerned.

“Uhmmm…” I looked at Tony silently asking if I should tell them.

“If you’re ready, Alexis, you don't have to tell them if you don’t want to.

“Tell us what?” Vic asked.

“You can tell us Lex, we’re your friends.” Mike added.

“We’re here for you, Lexi,” said Jaime

I took a deep breath and told them everything. By the end, all of them were a mix of angry and sad, but still happy that I was now safe and getting better.

“Alright, we’ll leave you to finish getting ready, but we’re going to celebrate tonight, okay?” Tony smiled before dragging Mike and Vic out to help officially make plans.

“Lexi. I’m always here if you need someone to talk to.” Said Jaime.

“Thanks Hime.” I smiled. “Now go make sure they aren’t planning anything too wild.”

I took a quick shower before pulling out a pair of jeans and a cute top and joining the boys down stairs.

“So Fright Fest is going on so we’re going to six flags!” Mike screamed. Six Flags fright fest was Mike and I’s thing, we would go every year, multiple times. We loved the haunted houses and just the vibe from being there, call us weird, others surely have, but we loved it there.

“Really? I haven’t been in ages”

“Yep and there’s the new rides, and we have to go on them!”



Tony’s POV

Jaime and I laughed as Mike and Alexis got lost in conversation about the new rides. She seemed genuinely happy for the first time in a while, there was no faking it.

“So Tone, I apologized to Lexi.”

“Really? How’d it go?”

“She forgave me, so hopefully we can be friends again, like old times.”

“That’s great Hime, I’m pretty sure you’ll have no trouble getting back to that friendship.”

Alexis is getting her life back and as her brother I couldn’t be more proud of her progress, she’s still the strongest person I know.

“Breakfast is ready”

“Ooouuu, what ya make?” Alexis said

“Pancakes and bacon.”

“And a smoothie.” Jaime said handing her one.

“Ouu Strawberry Banana??”

“Obviously.” He scoffed. I’m slightly surprised but impressed that Jaime actually remembers her favourite smoothie after all this time.

“Okay so game plan bitches, and Bestfriend.” Says Mike pulling out a map of six flags.

“Where the fuck-” I start

“Shhhh”

“We’re going to roll up at 5, and then hit up this ride first, then this one, and then Jaime you get a pick, then Tony and Vic, snack break, then all these and then-”

“Saving the best for last, we’ll hit up the haunted houses.” Alexis finished with a smirk before high fiving Mike.

Our night was completely planned out and it was good to see everyone so excited.

To me, it's clear that this was one of my earlyyyy stories, so it kind of sucks but oh well lol.
