To Die Is To Awaken

I sat in Jaime's car as he drove. I tugged at my shirt and Jaime took my hand and stilled it. I sighed and looked out at the road. Jaime turned into where all the cars were. He parked up and turned to me. "We're here." he said. I looked out and saw the building. I anxiously turned to him and he smiled in encouragement. I got out of the car with my bag and looked at the car next to us. Vic was sitting inside with Mike and Tony.
I walked over to the drivers side of Vic's car and I leant up against the car. I looked up at the school and bit anxiously down onto my lip. I could see the tree from my dream. My eyes stuck to it and I closed my eyes. I could see myself and Vic sat under it in my minds eye.
I could sense someone standing next to me. I opened my eyes and saw Vic. He smiled sweetly at me and I took his hand. He smiled wider at this and I reached up onto my tip toes. I kissed his cheek went to his ear.
"Can we go over there?" I asked.
"Sure," Vic nodded. "We have time before class."
We walked across the parking lot and to the tree. I turned against it and looked back at Vic. He walked over to me and took my hand. There was a nagging feeling that even now I was cheating on Robin. But then I looked into Vic's eyes and everything went away. I was in love with the tanned man standing before me.
"Why did you want to come over here?" Vic asked.
"I had a dream the other night," I explained. "We were sitting here and you told me you love me."
"I do love you, Han." Vic replied.
"We were going to get married," I added. Vic looked down for a while before he rubbed his jaw. "That wasn't a dream, was it?"
"No," Vic muttered. "Before... we wanted to. Before things changed."
"Vic, are we courting?" I asked seriously.
"If you want to... um... court." he said awkwardly.
"Did I not say the right word?" I asked.
"No, you did. We just don't say that anymore." he explained.
"Oh, sorry," I told him. "So, are we?"
"Only if you want to."
"I do." I nodded.
"Can I kiss you?" Vic asked anxiously.
"But everyone can see." I gasped.
"Before you never used to mind."
"Really?" I asked disbelievingly.
Vic nodded and I sighed. I looked around me before I started to lean in. Vic stepped closer and met my lips. He took my arms and wrapped them around his neck. Then he held my waist gently. As Vic kissed me I felt something flutter inside of me. My head felt light and I got dizzy. I never had this with Robin.
"Let her up for air!" Mike called.
A blush warmed my cheeks and I pulled away. Vic chuckled in my ear and wrapped his arms around me.
"I thought we'd never do this again," he said softly. "I missed it."
"I wish I could... you know."
"What?"
"Remember." I sighed.
"You will, baby." he told me gently and kissed my forehead.
"Guys," Jaime said as he walked past us with Jess. "Time to go in." he said.
"Stay with me?" I asked Vic hopefully. He nodded and took my hand.
We started walking towards where the others were starting to head in. I saw Tony with his arm wrapped around Carrie, Jaime and Jess both holding hands. I watched Mike with his hands buried deep inside his pockets.
"Vic?" I asked quietly.
"Yeah?"
"Why does Mike not have anyone?" I asked.
"Um... I don't know." Vic frowned.
"Has he not seen anyone he would like to court?" I asked.
"You said it again," Vic teased. "And no. He never talks about girls seriously like that. He concentrates on all of us and what we're doing."
"Perhaps he has his eye on another man," I laughed to myself. I looked at Vic and he raised his eyebrows. "What? Of course I was not serious."
"After class I should tell you about the Aidan, Savannah and Lauren love triangle." he said.
"Oh dear." I muttered.
Just as we were walking into the school someone threw their arms around us both. I saw Mike walking with us and grinning. "How is it Han can lose all memory of you and it only takes her less than a week for you to get back together and declare your love? But I still can't get myself laid." Mike said.
"Laid? What do you mean?" I asked.
"He's being dirty." Vic narrowed his eyes.
"Forever jealous." Mike sighed before he ran ahead of us.
"Do you think Mike is upset about not having anyone?" I asked.
"No... I'm sure he's fine," Vic shrugged. "Now let's go to Spanish."
"I take Spanish?" I asked.
"Yeah, you were getting the hang of it too."
"But I know Spanish." I said.
"How?" Vic frowned.
"My maid was Spanish. She taught me as I grew." I explained.
"Then you should ace it." he smiled.
Vic led me down a corridor and to a wall of lockers. He showed me how to open my own and I sorted out my books. Then he led me along the hallway and to a classroom. I walked inside and followed Vic to a desk at the back. I took a seat and looked to the front of the room. A woman had walked inside and was writing on the board with a piece of chalk. I sighed and bit down onto my lip. I wasn't looking forward to this.

Hey! Wow, I'm almost scared to update. This chapter has been written for months and months. I'm just so busy I never get chance to come on here. I don't even know if anyone reads this one.
