How I managed to get myself home and in bed in one piece really gets me. What with the anger and sexual frustration I had towards my ex boyfriend Mike? Or whatever he was, I was surprised I didn't have an accident. I was currently sprawled across my bed surfing through my various social medias. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, even snapchat. I scrolled through the various hate mail rolling my eyes at the pre-teens, why had I suddenly become a target for them when Mike obviously had alysha. I had at one point been hidden from the fan girl and occasional fan boy world that is until Mike decided to start being around our daughter and myself more often.

I groaned at the comments realizing that if I continued to scroll it would only get worse. I let out a breathe of air, locking my phone and throwing it to the side. I turned on my side staring at the bedside table a picture having caught my eye. It was one of Mike, Dawn, and I. We had been out celebrating dawns first birthday, it had been the first time Mike had seen Dawn. The reaction when they both first saw each other always brought tears to my eyes. The way he held her so tightly, placing kisses on her every chance he got. Mike that day even hinted on the slightest bit of hope for us. I thought surely now that he's met his daughter who's a spitting image he may be around more. I was wrong though, now none of that seemed to matter. This was before everything undoubtedly went down the drain. This was before I knew he had been hiding alysha, who my daughter now has mixed feelings about. This was before Mike began to screw up what little of a relationship he actually had with his daughter.

*flashback*
"mama daddah!" Dawn blabbered flicking her wrists around in the air from her spot on the bed.
I smiled down at the barely newly turned one year old walking over to her and hoisting her onto my hip. For a one year old she sure had quite the vocabulary on her. It could have been that I had read to her every chance I had been given.
"yes baby your going to get to see daddy." Dawn yelled with excitement, wiggling around excitedly on my hip. Mike had some what come to his senses about little Dawn here actually being his daughter. When I say Mike came to his senses what I really mean is that mama Fuentes lectured him night and day over the phone for me. I had gotten the call last night from the man himself saying that he wanted to see her, that he didn't want to miss out on her life any longer. I hesitantly but surely agreed. I set Dawn on the floor letting her waddle around the house. I finished packing her bag before heading out to the living room area. My eyes fell on Dawn who sat on the floor completely captivated by the world that is hogwarts. Yep you are definitely your fathers daughter. I sat on the couch keeping my eye on the blonde haired beauty. A knock on the door had both mine and dawns head turning. I yelled, "come in" since the door had been unlocked and I knew it had to be Mike.

He peeped his head in through the door taking in his surroundings before stepping in. Dawn began blabbering "daddah, daddah, daddah," as she wobbled over to him gripping his leg tightly. Mike looked down eyes widening a bit at the little girl at his feet. His eyes went to mine pointing down to Dawn, " is this my daughter, is this her?" He questioned. I nodded my head, " yes that is little miss Dawn fuentes." I replied staring right at him. Mike leaned down getting eye level with Dawn which required him to sit on the floor. The two almost played a staring game with one another just taking each other's features in. Then of course Dawn being her little energetic, overly excited self leaned forward placing slobbery, open mouthed kisses on her fathers cheek. Mike returned the gesture leaning up taking Dawn with him. They both already had each other wrapped around the others finger. I smiled up at the two finally having the image I had craved for awhile.

SInce there had been a park right down the street from where I lived we decided to go there for dawns sake. Once her chubby feet had touched that grass she was unstoppable. Mike and I sat at a table overlooking the play area keeping a watchful eye on Dawn.
"she looks just like me, how is that even possible?" Mike questioned bringing my attention to him.
"well she is your daughter Mike what'd you expect her to look like?"
Mike sighed, eyes meeting mine for the first time,"to be honest I thought she would like you more but everything about her screams me literally."
i nodded my head chuckling, "yeah now you see your mom and I's consistency for getting you to meet her."
its like his whole mood changed as soon as those words left my lips, had I struck a chord I shouldn't have?
"look em, the reason I didn't want to come around and except I have a daughter is because I won't lie I'm not ready, the boys and I are just taking off and we're slowly getting bigger that means more tours more time away from home, I can't do that to Dawn not know that she has captured my heart." He said looking out to the play ground.
i placed my hand on mikes rubbing my thumb against his skin, " I'm not asking you to give up your dream, I'm asking you to be there for her when you can, give her the life of having a father that I know she needs, don't make it to where when she asks where her dad is my answer will be I don't know, make it be that when she asks I'll be able to say oh he's put touring the world with your tios playing to so many people saving there lives."

I looked at Mike, something twinkled in his eye and he nodded his head.
"yes I'll do it, I'll be apart of her life as much as I can my parents raised me better."
i smiled over at him finally having the feeling of accomplishment I had finally gotten Mike to see what I so longed to see.
Dawns little voice pulled us from our lingering thoughts,
"momma I want to play In the sand castle but nobody will play with me." She pouted. I leaned down whispering in her ear, "why don't you ask daddy he's right there babe, go on ask." I said nudging her in his direction. Dawn had suddenly become shy, making her way slowly towards Mike, she pulled on his pant leg, "uhm daddy will you come play in the sand box with me, please." She begged bottom lip forming into her famous puppy pout. Mike smiled widely down at his daughter scooping her up and running the fastest he could towards the sand castle area. Dawn laughed all the way her yells "of slow down daddy." was the only thing I could hear.

I watched the two play in the sand, attempting to build a castle but the sand was just not staying. I grabbed our bags walking over to the two busy builders. I sat down next to Mike our knees touching, "here" I said pulling out a water bottle, "this should help to make the sand stronger."
mike smiled taking the bottle thankfully from my hands he once again went to building the sand castle with Dawn. Mike groaned the castle having fallen for the fifth time, Dawn huffed falling back and sitting on her butt. I couldn't help but chuckle at the two they were so alike.
" what are you laughing at em, I don't see you helping." Mike muttered.
"well then let me help you" I said gesturing for Mike to move out of the way. he simply patted his lap sending me a smirk.
I raised an eyebrow at the boys antics, he couldn't be serious could he. I whatevered it and sat in between mikes legs spreading mine as well. I began to try and sculpt the mushy sand but still to no avail would it stand. Mike took this as an opportunity to place his hands over mine to help me builld up the sand.
" What are we re-enacting that famous scene from ghost." I laughed.
"anything you want it to be." He said whispering into my ear. Shivers ran up my spine, as mikes breathe fanned over my neck. I turned my head to stare at Mike, a smirk was ghosting over his lips. I felt ourselves began to lean in closer, our heads pulled away from one another as our hands were removed from the sand and placed on even smaller hands. Dawn had made her way into my lap and decided to help sculpt.
"Mama daddah sandcastle!"
we thought surely the three of us would be able to create something grand but the sand would not build. We ended up throwing a majority of it in each direction. I leaned against mike, as Dawn leaned against me, now being seated fully in my lap. Mike pulled out his phone, pressing the camera button our faces appeared on the front screen.
"I think we need our first family picture." He announced. Dawn got excited bouncing around in my lap. I held her still telling her to smile for the picture."

That same picture Mike took of us that day was now placed on my bedside table. I had faith that he would change that day giving me something to believe in. After pierce the veils second album came out and they began to tour Dawn and I still got to see him not as much as we would like but anything was something to be honest. Mike and I would share secret glances at one another while stealing intimate kisses as well. My faith began to dwindle when collide with they sky took off I saw less and less of him. Dawn on the other hand got to see him but he only came for her. Soon the secret glances and intimate kisses turned into full in glares and side hugs I recieved when he brought Dawn home. I assume that was the time alysha began to beapart of his life because now that I have finally met her his attitude seems to have been heightened. I closed my eyes, not wanting to stare at the picture any longer. It was the faith a I had all but lost now.
