"Em, em, wake-up em."
I groaned rolling over onto my side away from the persistent bother.
"go away, I'm trying to sleep." I muttered angrily swatting at the annoying force. The pokes and grabs continued eventually pulling me from my peaceful slumber. I sat up eyes droopy staring at my intruder. Mike.
"Mike, what do you want it's like 4 in the morning?"I questioned glancing at the clock on the night stand. Mike looked down at his hands before looking back up at me staring, not uttering a single word. I began to worry.
"hey Mikey come one what's wrong?" I asked resting my hand on his shoulder.
Mike grabbed my hand holding it within his staring at me deeply, "Em I need you to hear me out, I wanted to wait longer, I wanted to give this more time but I just can't, not anymore."
my heart began to race, my palms began to sweat as his words swirled in my mind, the possibilities endless.
"Mike what are you.." he cut me off with his fingers to my lips.
"Let me say what I need to say first Em then I swear when i finish you can say all you need to say."
I nodded ny head, my eyes never leaving his, he took a breathe.

"Em Ive been a dick to you since the beginning up until now, I've pushed you aside for tour, for girls, shit even for booze. Every time I fell or needed a helping hand you were always there while I always gave you my back, I regret it all Em. I know vic was only trying to help and be the support for you and dawn that I could never be and even then I couldn't do that right. That was my problem, you were doing all this on your own from the beginning, that I thought you didn't need me I thought you had it all figured out. That's why I became who I became the guy who pushed you away told you mean things, even proposed to someone who wasn't you, You must hate me Em I brought another woman into our daughters life when from the beginning it should have been us, me you and dawn, it should have been me and you."
I stared at Mike mouth slightly open my hand limp in his, "Mike." I whispered.
"I left alysha, the way she treated you and dawn and how she played everything out wasn't who I wanted, it wasn't you Em, the girl who has love to give everyone and still gives more than she can handle, I know you probably hate me Em and think I must be the biggest idiot but please.."
I stared up at Mike all these words flowing through my mind, everything he said replaying through my head.
I pulled my hand away, "you don't get to do this Mike, you don't get to play with my feelings like this, how many times have you done this hmm, always saying it's going to be me but as soon as a bust pretty blonde comes your way I'm history, you don't get to play with my heart anymore Mike not if your just going to spit lies and then not hold up to your supposed truths, not now Mike not now." I whispered angrily lips trembling.
Mikes head fell, "you still don't believe me do you, I understand I put you through shit Em, but do you know how scary it is for me, to be in love, your so independent you could do this all on your own without me and me well I'm always with the band i wouldn't have been around much, what if you would have found someone better, I was saving us heartache and pain."
I scoffed, "saving us heartache, more like saving yourself Mike all you did was hurt me I was so in love with you that I dragged myself where ever you led me, so don't tell me you were trying to save us, you broke us, I think you should go Mike." I whispered looking away.

Mike nodded his head hung low he stood his back to me, he turned placing a kiss on my cheek lips to my ear.
"I meant everyword I said Em, this is what I meant by I hope I wasn't to late, I love you Emma."
I turned away a tear spilling over, I lifted my head watching as Mike walked away.

"Em think this through are you finally going to let this chance slip through are you going to let him leave just like that come on this is what you have wanted!" I fought with myself before standing and waking to my door and pulling it open Mike stood before me.
"Mike."
"No Em, I'm not letting you slip throught this time I finally got you before me and godamnit I'm not letting you or dawn go ever, it has always been me in your eyes and fuck Em I want it to always be you, always."
Mike leaned forward grabbing my head in his hand before smashing his lips to mine, my fingers itched through his hair as my lips moved against his a tear slipping from my eyes.
I pulled away looking at him deeply, "Mike you have to promise I can't keep doing this."
Mike smiled leaning our forheads together, "Emma I promise, I won't ever ever make you regret this decision I want to start over." I looked at Mike staring deeply into his chocolate orbs, i delved into them. I confirmed my answer by placing my lips to his locking into a passion filled kiss.
"ewwie momma and dadde why you kissin you has cooties."
Mike and I turned our head chuckling at our daughter.. Our daughter.
We stared at dawn a sudden realization coming over her sleepy features.
"is momma and dadde togeter?" She questioned, Mike and nodded smiles on our faces.
Dawn gave a cheeky grin jumping up and down, "yay momma and dadde togeter we finy a family." Dawn squealed running to us. Mike picked her up holding her to our level.
Dawn wrapped her tiny hands around us squeezing us closer.
"I tol you dadde, momma alway luv yew."
I looked to dawn then Mike, "is there something I should know here?" I asked raising a brow." The two shook their head smirks appearant on their faces.
"your explaining in the morning, right now I think it's time for bed." I announced as dawn released a yawn.
That night was the first night in awhile that I wasn't afraid of what was to come in the morning. That night I knew when I woke up Mike wouldn't be in a rush pulling his clothes together or worse already gone and at his home. That night I knew when morning came he would still be here with dawn wrapped around him and his arm wrapped around me.

So it was going to happen and it has, Mike finally grew a pair and there finally together!!!! Yay! No worries we have a few more chapters to go and then this tale will end. So the next few chapters will be flashbacks explaining everything that you feel needs explanation, followed by an epilogue. I feel haven't said this but holy shit there's 36 of you subscribed and it's so beautiful thank you for following and loving this tale I love you all two pieces.
