High School Never Ends

Brother Talk

The bell signalling the end of the day finally rang, and I sighed a sigh of relief. Looks like I’ve survived today, yet I know now that Amelia is plotting. She’s not going to hurt me physically instead she’ll play with my emotions. Now would be a good time not to let my sensitivity get the better of me. The odds are in her favour. She can tell when I’m feeling vulnerable and I’m always sensitive. Good luck me!

I decided to hold back, and let everybody rush out before leaving the school. I hate these therapy appointments, it doesn’t seem to be doing anything for my mum. Slowly, I trundled out of school. Once I reached the door, I noticed Vic hanging around, I sent a wave his way before continuing my direction towards the school gates.
“Hey Aria, wait up!” He called after me. What is it with the Fuentes right now? I never seem to get any peace nowadays.
“Uh, hey. What’s up?”
“Mike asked me to give you a lift home, said you had some place to be?”
“Oh, no honestly, it’s fine.”
“C’mon, I don’t bite. Plus Mike will be really pissed at me if I just let you go.”
“Uh…” I hesitated. “Sure, alright.”
He smiled, and gestured for me to follow him.
When we were in the car, I gave him my address and we sat in an awkward silence until Vic spoke up breaking the silence.
“So… You and Mike have been getting along pretty well?”
“Uh, yeh. I guess we have.”
“That’s good. I think he needs a friend to keep him grounded. Jaime and Tony aren’t really the right fit for that job.”
I smiled.
“Eh, can I ask you something quite random?”
“Yeh, go ahead.”
“Well… Which one is Jaime and which one is Tony? Mike didn’t really specify.”
Vic chuckled. “Eh, let’s see. Jaime is very hyper, he’s the one with spiky hair. Whereas Tony is more quiet.”
“Oh okay, thanks.” I smiled. “Oh, this is my stop.”
Vic pulled up to the side of the pavement.
“Thanks for the ride.” I smiled
“It’s alright. Oh, Mike asked me to give you this. Good luck!” He smirked as I exited the car.
He drove off as I unfolded the piece of paper. Written on the paper, was a number. Good luck? What’s that supposed to mean? I sighed and shoved the piece of paper into my pocket.
