High School Never Ends

Soon, we came to a stop and Mike presented me to a group of three guys. One I recognised as being Vic but the other two were unfamiliar to me.
“Ari, this is Jaime and Tony. You know Vic.”
Rolling my eyes at the nickname Mike had now given me, I looked between the two guys. One named Tony the other Jaime, I just didn’t know which one was which. However, before I could question which one was which, Mike had already engaged in a conversation with the guys.
“Well how old?” Mike asked
“Dude, it’s not happening!” Vic exclaimed
“Jesus, Vic. C’mon Ari, do ya think I could pass for 18?”
“Uh… Yeh?”
“See Vic! Ari would never lie to me.”
“Eh, to be perfectly honest I don’t know what’s happening.” I countered
“What!?” Mike pretended to gasp as the guys just rolled their eyes at him.
“Basically, there’s a gig that Mike wants to play but none of us are old enough to get into the bar.” Vic informed
“Oh!” I exclaimed. “Eh, don’t take this the wrong way but I don’t think any of you could really pass.”
Mike sighed while the others agreed.
“Sorry.” I whispered to Mike
“It’s alright.” He whispered back, smiling.
“Hang on! A gig?” I asked confused, only now realising fully what Vic had said
Just then, the bell rang. Guess I would have to find out later.
“Shit! I’ve gotta go.” I began before running off to my locker.
When I reached it, a pleasant surprise was awaiting me: Amelia. As soon as she noticed me she grinned maliciously.
“See you’ve made yourself some new friends.” Amelia teased
“Yeh, so.” I mumbled
“They’re good lookers, maybe I’ll get in there before you do!”
“Hey, look just leave them out of it, please.”
“I don’t make promises, you know that Aria.”
“Please, just this…” I started
“Hey Ari.” Mike called cutting me off
“Shit.” I mumbled under my breath
“Ari? Hmm, looks like you’re already onto your first.” Amelia laughed
