I rolled over and hit the alarm clock, knocking it off of Vic's nightstand. I heard a chuckle from across the room, and I sat up instantly. Vic was leaning up against the wall, completely dressed and with two suitcases next to him.

"What the fuck?" I questioned.

"Put these on." Vic threw clothes at me.

"Shoo!" I got up out of bed and escorted him out the door.

"Skylar, I've seen you naked before, not the way I'd like to see you that way first, but I have. I don't see why you are so weird about this." Vic complained outside the door. I sighed and pulled on the clothes Vic had provided me with. I smiled that he had brought me his shirt. I put my nose up to it, and inhaled Vic's scent. It had become comforting to me. I opened the door, and Vic was gone. I quietly investigated each room, searching for him. I walked downstairs cautiously. I had no idea what he was planning. I crept around the corner to see the door wide open. I saw Vic over by the car, with his phone to his ear. I snuck back into the house, and stayed in ear shot.

"It's not safe here, you know this was one of the reasons anyways, and why not move it to today? They'll come in and look around and notice she's not there, and we'll be fine." Vic argued. He paused, listening to the person on the receiving line, "Come on man. I know you love her too. I know you want to see her safe." He pleaded. Vic held the phone away from his ear, the other person was probably screaming at him. "Look I wouldn't dare to tell her, I'm not insane-" Vic stopped. "Okay not anymore. Look just let me take her, and you can get #2 and come with us, or show up later." He waited about three seconds before saying, "You know I'm doing whats best for her. This is all for her. You know Mike told me at the bbq that he was confronted by one of them. They need to think she's disappeared." He smiled, probably winning the argument. "Okay see you later." He hung up the phone. I heard footsteps and I turned and quietly sprinted into the kitchen. I grabbed out a bowl of cereal and set it on the counter. I went to grab the milk when I heard Vic walk over. "Hey darling." He said.

"What we are going to Coasta Rica! This is so cool!" I exclaimed as we boarded the plane. I said it rather loudly, on accident, but still getting me glares from the people around me. Vic and I sat in our seats, and waited for the plane to take off.

"This is your captian speaking. We will be taking off shortly." The speakers blared. I looked at Vic nervously. I hate flying in airplanes so much. He was staring at the empty seat next to me.

"Vic?" I asked. He looked up at me and pecked me on the lips.

"What darling?" He was worried, I wonder what he was thinking about.

"Nothing, it's fine." I shrugged. I sat back in my seat and tried to relax. From the sounds of shuffling coming from where Vic was, I assumed he was doing the same.

"Alrighty folks, we are now leaving the gates." The captain announced. I could hear yelling far off. I sat up and tried to look back and see what the commotion was.

"I'm here! Wait!" Someone yelled. I turned back and laughed at my flustered friend.

Notes

Cliff hanger! Who is going to Coast Rica with Vic and Skylar? Could it be the person Vic was on the phone with? What the hell was Vic talking about on the phone? Why is Vic hiding things from Skylar? Could he be hiding more? Is the author stalling starting homework by asking many questions?
