She Was Always The One

Planes Suck

Once I dropped off my bag and went through security I was off to find my gate. I'm lucky that when you first walk in gate 35 was the first one, making it so much easier to find gate 53. Once I found the right gate I took a seat next to an old Japanese man, he looked to be in his late 70's. A couple of minutes later I realize there is a board near the door telling the time, how much longer it would be until your flight came in, and where your destination is. Turns out I'm going to San Diego, since I have never heard about the city I decided it would be a good idea if I did some quick research. As soon as I found a website that looked to be the best one, a picture of the beach turned up. I've never been to the beach before, but I know for sure that's the first place I wanna see. I scrolled through the website a couple minutes longer finding out some other cool attractions I would defiantly see later on.

After a good hour and a half the plane had arrived and was getting ready to send people off it. During this time I took it upon myself to get a much needed coffee, I found a little café just a couple feet away. I ordered an extra lard double double and paid the over tired looking lady, I tipped her a bit too because it seems like she has been here for hours. When I returned to my gate they were calling group 1, and since I checked in so early I was part of that group. The lady scanned my ticket and looked at my passport, satisfied with what she saw she smiled and told me to have a nice flight. I soon found my seat, which I thank to god was an isle seat, and waited for everyone else to board the plane. I knew my luck ran out when two business men sat in the seats beside me.

When the plane was full I looked around to see what type of people I would be traveling with. I saw that there was about seven families on board, with about five babies total. After complaining to myself for ten minutes the flight attendants made their way to the positions they were meant to go to demonstrate all the things to do in case of an emergency. I didn't really pay attention since last summer I went on vacation to Paris and has to hear all of this before. Once done doing their thing the ladies took a seat at the front of the aircraft and waited till we were up in the air.

I ended up falling asleep as soon as we were up in the air. When I woke up I checked what time it would be back in Tokyo, great, I still had 6 more hours to go. I plugged in my IPod and stuck my ear buds in my ears and started to play Rage Against The Machine, they are my all time favorite classic band. I then pressed the button to get attended to, the lady showed up with a great big smile, "uhhm could I get a glass of water please?" I asked in a hush tone since I saw that a lot of people were sleeping. The lady returned a couple minutes later with a small plastic cup of water, I thanked her then guzzled down my water before going back to sleep.

When I woke up for the second time I checked the time again, only 2 more hours till we land in San Diego. I got my favorite book -It's Kind Of A Funny Story- out of my bag that was sitting on the floor underneath the person in front of me. I got through two chapters when all the babies decided it would be okay to cry again. Before I didn't care since I was sleeping and didn't notice it but now its just super annoying. I soon realized that I could no longer read with all the noise so I tried to go back to sleep. I had just about fallen asleep when the business man beside me ended up falling asleep and thought it was a good idea to use my shoulder as a pillow. Since I am too nice of a person I let him rest. I wasn't much longer till the flight attendants woke him um to fill out a form to be allowed in the country.

I filled out the form with ease and heard the pilot say we will be descending and to put on our seat belts. We landed not too long after and soon the door was open and ready for us to go through customs. I followed everyone in front of me and ended up at customs. I was on my best behavior since I was terrified of cops. Once everyone in front of me was called it was my turn to go up to the window and explain why I'm here. Luckily I got a young mad that looked to be in his mid 20's, "passport and form please" he asked, I did as he said and handed him everything my dad said I would need. "So what makes you want to come to school here?" he asks, "well, my father thinks it would be good to finish my school here since it wont be as hard on me as it would in Japan, you see my mother recently passed away and not having her around has been hard and it took a tole in my school work, so my dad wants to give me a break kind of thing" I reply trying my hardest not to cry. He gives me the okay and sends me off to grab my luggage. I saw where people who were on my flight standing around a huge metal conveyer type of thing. Soon bags were dropped of and people were picking up what belonged to them, after thirty minutes my bags dropped down and I had to quickly run to get them all.

I was a door that led to the outside so I put all my suitcases on a trolley and headed out that way to find this so called Mike. My dad had told me he looked tall and lanky with some piercings and a few tattoos so that's what I looked for. After not being able to find someone that looked like my dad described I sat on one of the seats by the door and waited to see when he would walk in. An hour later and still no sighn of him, great! he forgot about me..

Notes

Sorry for the lack of updates, every time I tried to upload the chapter on the phone it would redirect me to somewhere else. S to make up for that I tried to make this chapter longer.
