I Said I'd Never Let You Go

This past week had probably gone by at the slowest rate. I had been home for three days and I was already going stir crazy. Being on a bus for the last four months you would think I would be happy to be home. Yet here I was ready to rip my hair out.

Chloe was currently packing her bags. We had another booth this year and we were merging it with the bands tent.We had gone into the studio about six months ago and recorded a full length cd. I know you normally do an EP first but we couldn’t decide on which songs to cut; so we didn’t. We hadn’t even finished the Album when we got a call from Victory asking to set up a meeting with us.

“You excited.” I asked her as I lay on her bed.

“Are you kidding? I haven’t seen vic in two months.” She exclaims. Yes they were still together. It had been almost a year and a half.

“Be lucky it’s only been two, I haven’t seen Tony in five. Being the singer and not being able to be gone more than a day really puts a kink in trying to line up time to go see your boyfriend while you are both on tour.” I tell her.

“I’m sorry I know how bad you wanted to some with me last time.” She apologizes.

“Not your fault. Tony and I knew this wasn’t going to be easy. We willingly signed up for this.” I say as she plops down next to me.

“So I was looking through the list of bands playing this year.” She states.

“Any good ones?” I ask looking at her.

“Yeah, but I also saw that Of Mice & Men are playing.” I groan. I knew I would have to see him again, but I didn’t want to be stuck on the same tour with him for three months. “Have you had any contact with him since… ya know?”

“Nope. He tried calling a couple times after I told him, but I think he eventually the hint because he stopped calling.” I explained as I playing with the hem of my shirt.

“Do you think it will be awkward if you see him?”

“If? We are going to be on the same tour. I am bound to see him at some point.” I say looking at her. “And yes I think it will be very fucking awkward.”

“Do you miss him?” He asks quietly.

“There are times when a memory will pop into my head and I’ll miss the time we spent together. But then I think about what he did and how it brought Tony and me together. It doesn’t make it all better because it still hurts to think about; I’m sure it always will. Things are meant to happen for a reason and I think Tony is why it did.” I tell her and she nods her head.

“Are the fans still giving you shit?” Chloe was the only person that knew about it. And that was only because someone said something to be in front of her. She then proceeded to give the girl a black eye.

“Here and there, mostly online.” I lie. There was so much that was said in person that I kept from her. I knew it would just upset her.

“They are just jealous fangirls. They are upset because Tony is with you instead of their skanky jailbait asses.” She says. I smile I knew she was right, but it got to me more than I should let it.

“These next four days better go by quickly. I miss Tony.” I whine changing the subject. Thankfully she doesn’t argue about it.

“You’re telling me.” She agrees. “oooo we will have to go on a double date one night both bands play early.”

“Sounds good to me. Now finish packing. I’m going to pick up dinner.” I say as I hop off her bed and exit the house into the late afternoon sun.
