THIRTEEN
Austin’s POV
Autumn had been rather distant since the night she told me about Tony grabbing her. I knew she needed time to get her head on straight, but I was hoping that it was the push she needed to come back to me. I was currently in the back of the bus attempting to write a new song.
It wasn’t going very well since my mind was spinning with thoughts of Autumn. I stood and walked off the bus sliding my sun glasses over my eyes. I began walking toward the gates out of the parking lot and into the grounds. We were in St. Petersburg today and it was extremely hot. I heard a heated conversation going on behind one of the busses.
My curiosity got the better of me and I peeked around the side of the bus. My eyebrows furrowed when I saw Chloe and Jenna Mcdougall standing there.
“I can’t believe you did that Jenna! She is supposed to be you friend. Why would you even begin to think that was a good idea?” Chloe whisper yells harshly.
“Oh come off your high horse. You and I both know that Austin and Autumn are meant to be together. Tony was just a distraction from her seeing the whole picture. She may love tony, but Austin is the one that she belongs with in the end.” Jenna scolds.” A few texts just set it in motion. They were too busy lost in each other to even notice that I walked on the bus and called her name. Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be when you are with the one? Everything else fades into the background and all you see is them.”
“That doesn’t give you the right to take matters into your own hands. Autumn was crushed by what happened with Tony. No matter how much I wasn’t her with Austin I accepted that it may not end up that way. You should have too. You are always the one that says if it’s meant to happen it will.” Chloe replies back. “You need to tell her what you did or I will.”
Chloe starts to walk toward where I am standing and I start to panic. I walk around the other side of the bus and pretend to be on the phone. She comes around the corner and stops when she gets close to me.
“Yeah Alan I will be right there. I am just about to the parking lot gate.” I say into the locked phone. “Okay see you in a few.”
“No need to make up fake phone calls Carlile. I know you heard what just went down.” She says wearily.
“I don’t know what you are talking about. I was just talking to Alan.” I lie unconvincingly.
“Cut the bullshit. I saw you peek around the corner of the bus. You’re a giraffe Austin; not the most graceful or stealthy of creatures.” She smirks.
“Oh.” Was all I could say. I knew I had been caught ease dropping red handed. Damn my lanky frame.
“It’s fine. The cat’s out of the bag. I love Tony and all, and I know he makes her happy, but I have never seen her happier than when she was with you. Please promise me that you won’t tell her what Jenna did. She needs to tell Autumn herself.” Chloe tells me.
“I promise that I will give Jenna two days. After that it’s fair game. She deserves to know. Those texts really hurt her in the end. I can’t believe that Jenna was the one behind it.” I say to her looking down at my feet.
Autumn and Jenna had become really good friends on one of the last tours they did together. I can’t believe that Jenna would betray Autumn’s trust like that. As much as I wanted her back I wasn’t going to force her to do something that she wasn’t happy with. Jenna caused Autumn and Tony to break up. I couldn’t help but think that if she hadn’t sent those messages that Autumn would still be with him.
“I guess we all have our own little secrets.” Chloe said. “Remember two days. Then you can play prince charming and swoop in to save the day. Until then just talk to her; I know she still loves you; she’s just too stubborn to admit it.”

Dun dun dun... so now you know who it is. I was originally going to make it Chloe, but I didn't want her to be the one that hurt Autumn like that.

Haha I kind of always had a feeling that they would get back together. But I really liked her with Tony so I wasn't sure how it was going to end up. And I'm glad hun :)
