Moon Dance

I slammed the bedroom door behind me and collapsed to the floor, towel and all, as tears streamed down my face. How could he do this to me, how could he do this again? They were both being so childish and immature but, it was true that I had been feeling more comfortable with Ange lately but, is that so wrong? I got up, fueled by a sudden burst of anger and threw on some sweats and a t-shirt before packing a bag and ran to the front door before either one of them could say anything.

"You expect me to chose when I couldn't last time? I need time, while I'm gone grow the fuck up Chris. Ange is your brother and you're treating him like shit. I'm leaving."

"Aurora please-"

"No Ange. I need time." I gave them one last look before hopping in the car and speeding off.




I hopped out of the car bag in hand and begged him to be home as I ran up the steps and started knocking loudly on the door.

"Please be home." I whimpered, tears forming in my eyes.

The door opened his look of anger turning to surprise and I wrapped my arms around him and began to cry onto his shirt.

"Whoa Aurora, what's wrong?" Beau asked, his grey eyes focused on mine.

"Long story." I mumbled as he wrapped his arms around me and led me inside. "Mind if I stay a couple days?"

"Sure, you know my door's always open for you. Want some tea."

"Yes." I said smiling and sitting on the lush sofa.



After making me some tea, Beau joined me on the couch, wrapping his arms around me as I held the warm mug close to my body and told him the whole story and why I was now here.

"I'm sorry darling, I can't believe he'd try to make you chose again. It's not right of him, he knows you love them both."

"I know but, maybe it's unfair to them both if I try to keep them both. I have to let one go Beau."

He sighed, "It's a choice you have to make. I have to run out for a few hours, are you okay by yourself?"

"Yeah, I'm alright." I said as Beau kissed me on the forehead and headed out to do whatever he had to do.



I sat on the couch in silence, my legs curled up to my chest as I sipped on the warm chai tea and began to reminiscence about all the times I had with Chris and Ange.




"Come on! The water is fine Aurora!" Ange laughed, trying to splash me.

I looked out at the cool ocean water and my nose wrinkled at the salty smell. I loved LA so much but I had no want to explore the ocean and it's depths. Too many sharks and other things that could eat me in one gulp, the last thing I needed was a jellyfish to sting me senseless.

"No way Ange!" I moaned turning over to tan my back. Just then I felt arms wrapped around my waist as I was launched up over Chris's shoulder.

"Put me down this instant Christopher!" I screamed as he ran towards the water laughing.

He ran until he was knee deep and threw me into the water, the salty cool water rushing over my skin. I felt arms wrap around my waist as Angelo brushed my hair out of my face.

"That wasn't so bad, now was it."

"I hate you." I growled, looking at the fake sadness in his eyes and the smile on his face.

"You could never hate me." he whispered, his soft cold lips pressing against mine and I could taste the salty water on his lips. I wrapped my arms around his neck and we waded in the water as Chris played water football with the guys.

"There's no place else I'd rather be Aurora, other than with you."


I sighed as I brought myself back to the soft couch in Beau's apartment. I could remember that day clearly, Ange's black hair glistening in the sun, hanging it wet strands as his shoulders began to show a faint tan. I grabbed my keys and purse and slipped on my shoes, I needed something to get my mind off all this, and I knew just the thing.
