Leilani's POV:

Mike and I sat at the diner's table as I nibbled on my crunchy caesar salad and he pigged out on the slab of steak with a side of chips in front of him, which by the way was a ridiculously huge piece of meat for lunch. We'd barely talked since he'd picked me up, except for when we talked about what happened to me, and I was waiting anxiously for him to ask the question I knew sat in the back of his mind. In that moment as if he could read my mind he cleared his throat before speaking up.

"Um so I was wondering," he coughed awkwardly, "why'd you call me?" he asked tentatively as he tapped his knife on the table to a familiar beat but I couldn't pick up what it was.

"I mean why not call you?" I quipped hoping to avoid the subject and lighten the mood. He looked at me with one raised eyebrow not so amused as I was. I exhaled before explaining myself so he knew he was making a deal out of nothing. "I didn't want to see him because he said he loved me and we're nowhere near that stage at the moment," I wheezed.

"So you two are together?" I shook my head at Mike's concern.

"No we're not," he looked confused and it was clear with Austin's actions this morning why he would have thought we were together, "When I said he wasn't allowed to be jealous or protective at the club I meant it. Yes we have a history, a small one, but he blew that being a total jerk to me and he apologised and I accepted concluded. it but the other night I noticed I was too comfortable with him and I told him I didn't want that. Not to mention he said he'd come to the station today and 'get me out' but he didn't even come down so I'm kind of pissed at him," I concluded.

"Do you want to be 'comfortable' with anyone?" he quizzed again with hopeful eyes.

"I can only see what the future has in hold for me I suppose," I lead on with a half smile trying not to show my utter excitement at his eagerness to be with me.

"He's an idiot for blowing you off you know? I don't know what he did or said but I'd never mistreat you, I can promise you that. I'd hold onto you for dear life and never let go," his cheeks flushed red as he admitted this to me and so did mine. I looked away and he rubbed his leg against mine under the table evoking me to stare back up at his rough, attractive face and stare into his enticing brown eyes.

"That's a pretty big promise to make," I felt my face become hot as I stared at his plump lips in hopes of them being on mine.

"We've got just under a month on this tour, it's enough time to convince you," he tried.

"I'm already convinced Mike," I giggled.

"Really?!" he piped up jumping out of his chair and then rekindled himself as he realised he might look a little silly. He sat back in his chair and fixed his shirt before starting again, "So we can give 'us' a go?" in the split second he stopped talking what felt like a million questions blew into my mind. Was this wrong? Only last night I slept in the same bed as Austin with him snuggled around me, how could I do this to him? But does he really love me? I bet not! It's fine right because I told Austin I didn't want to be together straight away, right? I snapped out of my thoughts in hope of not scaring Mike because I was taking so long.

"I don't see why not," I smiled and reached out my hand over the table to rest it on top of his. He squeezed back immediately and leant over the table smashing his lips against mine quickly but passionately.

"Want to go back to the hotel? We can go to your room and avoid Vic and the guys they were annoying last time," he rammbled.

"That's fine me and Tarni have a room to ourselves but she stays in Alan's anyway," I felt butterflies form in my stomach but they went away when I noticed I'd just agreed to take my 'boyfriend' back to the same room my not so boyfriend was in. Mike didn't seem to notice my shift in mood so I ignored my doubts and let myself into Mike's car as he paid for the meals.

Austin's POV:

Everyone sat at the kitchen bench nervously as we waited for Leilani to come back. It'd been hours and there was no phone call or anything not even a word from the police station. Tino drummed on the stone of the bench and Alan hummed loudly as Tarni gripped onto his hands.

"Do you think they'll call and ask us to go down there and get her or make a statement or anything?" Tarni frantically piped up. I went to reply but somebody who wasn't in the room a second ago did that for me.

"No need for any of that, I mean you could have all made statements but you didn't come down like you all 'promised' you would," Lani made the fake quotation marks with her fingers as she hissed at us all obviously pissed. I noticed that Mike stood behind her protectively, his hand placed gently on her shoulder.

"What's he doing here?" I nodded towards him rudely. Everyone averted their gaze to Mike and smiled as they greeted him obviously not as aggravated as I was because they were oblivious to what was actually happening between them.

"What I can't bring my boyfriend back to my room?" she grinned almost devilishly as if she was trying to hurt me. She did. Everyone gasped but the congratulated them but I didn't even bother.

"BOYFRIEND?!" I spat as I ran from the kitchen to stand before them demanding answers. Mike slid his arms around her waist and his head rested on her shoulder from behind her as he smiled at me calmly, I could have dropped him on the deck right then and there if it wasn't for Lani, she cradled into his hold still not breaking our stare.

"Yep," she popped the 'p', "He was there for me today and none of you were," no she was glaring at all of us because we'd let her down. She grabbed Mike's hand from her waist and started leading him to the room that was supposed to be shared between Tarni and her.

"So you just blow off the fact that I said I loved you this morning and run to some other guy because he was there?" I yelled across the room and everyone went dead silent. Mike and Lani turned. I felt Mike's eyes burn into me but I shrugged it off. Lani stomped across the floor leaving Mike where he stood and stopped right on to of my toes. Her head bent backwards to look up at me.

"He fucking cared! Which is something I can't say for the rest of you because while I was stuck in that fucking hell hole, AGAIN, left to rot and fend for myself you were all back here having a merry time!" she complained.

"It wasn't like that, we were all so worried," she laughed sarcastically at my comment and rolled her eyes. I looked away from her but the next thing she said made me stare into her burning eyes as my heart broke in half knowing she'd caught me out.

"Look me in the eyes and tell me you actually meant it because I have a few reasons that could determine exactly why you don't mean it!" she spat. I looked down at the floor away from her because I couldn't stare into her beautiful eyes as I lied to her.

"I meant it Lans," I muttered.

"I said look at me in the eyes and tell me that asshole," she growled lowly.

"I can't," I moaned.

"As I thought," her words stabbed me like a knife but that meant nothing to her, she simply walked back to Mike and into her room slamming the door behind her. I knelt on the ground my head in my hands as I cursed at myself repeatedly.

"You fucked up big time man she just slipped right into another man's hands," Aaron told me.

"You think I don't know that?" I spat. I pulled the ring that had never left my pocket out and threw it across the kitchen bench. I watched it spiral across the brisk stone bench until it stopped, "Maybe will get her something to replace it just like he replaced me," I moaned as I moped into my room. As I laid myself on my bed my phone buzzed in my pocket. I yanked it out and looked at the screen to reveal Michelle was calling. It was strange she was calling me but I answered anyway.

"Hello?" I quizzed.

"Austin! Hi!" she yelled through the speaker causing me to pull the phone away from my ear.

"Hey, what's up? Do you want me to put Lani on?" I asked hoping she wanted to speak to me so I didn't have to go into the same room as Mike and Lani.

"I've been trying to call her but she wont answer but no worries now that I've got onto you. Can you just pass on the message that she doesn't have to go to court and that she's got the all clear and also her friend Deeanne will be joining her in the merch tent as of the New Zealand show. I did a bit of twisting to get her there so make sure Lani looks after her," I nodded as she rambled on the list of things I had to tell Leilani.

"Mmm yeah I can do that," I replied unhappily not wanting to do so. She thanked me and hung up abruptly.

I sighed heavily and heaved myself from the bed. I opened my door and sulked out to the other side of the room to Lani's door. I felt all the guys eyes on me so I looked back and shot them a glare, they all turned away. I lifted my hand and hesitated to knock but did it anyway. When I didn't get an answer I knocked again but this time without waiting I barged in. Only to regret doing so in an instant. Mike was laying on top of Lani topless and her hands were gripped around his neck. Her hair was sprawled out messily across the bed and their tongues were stuck down each others throats. Their legs were tangled together and they didn't even seem to notice I had opened the door. I cleared my throat awkwardly as my hand rubbed at the back of my neck as I turned away. I heard them shuffling around the room probably putting their clothes back on.

"Can we help you?" Mike huffed clearly bothered by my presence.

"I came to tell Lani something important actually," I retorted dryly.

"It couldn't wait?" she grumbled.

"No actually, Michelle called!" I spat at her ignorance, "And since you couldn't stop fondling your boyfriend for two minutes you've missed all her calls. She called me to get me to tell you that you don't have to go to court and you've been cleared completely," I informed her.

"That was obvious," I rolled my eyes at her for what felt like the millionth time.

"There was something else," I continued.

"So spit it out," Mike grunted, I shot him a glare and he shut up.

"Someone called Deeanne is coming to work with you in the tent for the rest of the tour. Her first show will be in NZ," I announced. Lani's eyes went wide in excitement. She hugged Mike straight away ignoring me completely. Who is Deeanne?

"You're welcome," I whispered to myself as I walked away. I couldn't stand it to watch Lani be happy with someone else. It made my heart ache.

I've really lost her this time.
