Leilani's POV:

I ran swiftly back to my room from the shower in order to pack my bags. I figured I'd just wear the clothes I wore back to the hotel tonight on the plane tomorrow too. I pulled out a The Offspring shirt and some jeans, I yanked my red Doc Martens out of my closet but decided on not wearing them while I finished packing. I was still wearing Austin's ring, I'd probably never take it off. I giggled at the thought of him buying me such a beautiful ring ignoring the fact we'd only known each other for such little time.

"You got a suitcase anywhere?" I jumped at the sound of Austin's voice, I hadn't seen him standing in the doorway nor had I heard him.

"Uh yeah in the garage, it's the door directly at the end of the hallway. My bag is black," I told him.

"You only want one?" I nodded.

"It's big and were only gone for like a month, if I need anything I'll buy it," he didn't reply he just moped down the hallway to the garage. I noticed he'd been acting a little bit distant and strange after we'd had sex in the shower. I was sure it was nothing and shrugged it off. He came back a minute later with my suitcase and laid it open on the bed for me and he sat beside it. I thanked him and he nodded. I threw bits and pieces of clothing into the bag along with multiple pairs of shoes and all my make up including my hair straightener and curler.

"You girls, I swear. Do you want to take perfume with you too?" he mocked but he'd actually reminded me to chuck a few bottles in. I ran to the shelf that held my collection of perfumes and Austin shook his head. "I was being sarcastic," he said abrubtly.

"I wasn't," I retorted.

"Come on you ready?" I nodded and zipped my bag up, lifting off the bed. Austin went and packed it in the car and I put on my boots picking up my bag with my wallet, phone and iPod inside. I was a little bummed when I realised I didn't get to say goodbye to Dad because he still wasn't home. He'll call, I figured so I made my way out to the front door slamming it closed behind me. The roar of the engine filled my ears as I ran over to the passenger side. Austin didn't bother opening the door for me which was odd, I mean I didn't care but it was something he'd been doing since we started hanging out, I jumped in anyway.

Austin let out a heavy sigh and it almost seemed like he was annoyed, "Let's do this then," he exhaled again. He drove out of the driveway. We sat in an uncomfortable silence most of the way down the highway. The trip was longer now because he wasn't speeding but I'd wished he had been. I looked over at him his face was scrunched up angrily and his fingers were tapping nervously at the steering wheel.

"Uh Austin," he looked over at me quickly before averting his eyes back to the road.

"What?" he sneered.

"Um, are you all right? Did I do something?" I asked hesitantly.

"You didn't do something," he seethed. Okay that was weird.

"I said something?" I queried. He didn't answer, his face didn't even reveal that he was thinking about an answer. I was about to turn the radio up to break the silence but I noticed we were taking the exit off the highway so there was no point for a matter of two minutes.

Austin's POV:

I finally pulled up out front of the hotel and shut off the engine as fast as I could hastily jumping out of the car leaving Lani sitting by herself. I made my way around to the trunk and pulled her bag out, as I closed the door of the boot I heard Lani's door open and shut as she jumped out. She walked over and without a word took her bag and looked up at me with sad eyes. Her eyes reminded me I was being such an asshole to her. I looked away not being able to take her puppy dog eyes any more and walked into the hotel without her although I heard her footsteps trailing quietly behind me. I walked to the elevator and stopped to wait when I clicked the 'up' arrow. I looked over to Lani, she had a firm grip on the handle of the bag and her eyes were focused narrowly at the ground. I couldn't decipher what was going on in her pretty little head but I didn't want to ask.

'Dingggg' the elevator doors opened before us and we stepped in. Thank god the ride up to our floor was quick. She obviously thought the same because when the doors opened she ran out before I even had the chance to notice we were at our floor.

"Hey Lani!" I heard Tarni yell outside of the door. Lani didn't reply, I sighed and walked into the room, Lani nowhere to be seen and all eyes were on me.

"What's up with her?" Alan interrogated. I shrugged and kept walking into my bedroom. Lani sat on my bed her phone to her ear. She looked up at me and then looked straight back down.

"Dad are you with Michelle?" she waited for the reply through the phone, "Good, can you ask her if I have to go on tour for this job or if I can stay home and not take the job?" I sighed, I could tell she didn't want to be here but what was I going to tell the guys, let alone Tarni. I sat on the bed next to her waiting for the reply we both wanted. "No I'm fine Dad, I just, uh. Look Austin doesn't want me to go so I don't want to ruin the tour for him and the guys," she explained to him, great now I looked like the asshole. I could hear murmurs through the phone and Lani's breath hitched, "Uh okay, thanks," she hung up the phone and looked at me.

"Looks like you're stuck with me. I'll go sleep on the couch," she stood up and left the room.
