I'd Choose You
Austin's POV:
"Austin, what are your intentions with my daughter?" Tarni put on an overly dramatic, deep voice to try and imitate Lani's Dad and I couldn't contain my laughter.
"Don't worry sir I wont fuck her too hard when I bring her home at the latest time I possibly can," I replied through laughs.
"Oh my god, Austin lets go. Tarni you can take my car home tonight just don't hurt it!" Lani exclaimed in embarrassment at our jokes. We all made our way out the door as Lani locked up Tarni drove away. Lani turned to walk to the car but I grabbed her gently by the arm.
"Hold on a second babe," I whispered into her ear as I bent over placing a kiss on her soft, plump cheek. She giggled.
"Austin," she dragged the 'n' as she pulled at my arm trying to pull me to the car.
"Wait, I have something for you," her eyes widened.
"Oh Aus! You really didn't have to," she gasped as I pulled out a small blue box with a black bow tied around it.
"Hold out your hand Lei," she did as I said. I untied the bow and bush back the top of the box and laid it flat in her hand open for her to see. The huge yellow stone and the surrounding diamonds sparkled under the setting sun and the sparkle reflected in Leilani's eyes. She looked up at me with a glistening smile.
"Oh my Austin, I love it!" she pulled me and pushed up on her toes to plant a kiss on my lips and pulled back just as fast, "This would have cost a fortune!" that it did but she deserved it. I took the box from her hands and pulled the ring out. Lani lifted her hand and I slid the ring slowly up her long, slim finger.
"That doesn't matter Lani. It's yours now," I smiled planting a kiss on her forehead.
"It's beautiful," she exclaimed.
"Not nearly as beautiful as you are," she blushed at my words, "Come on baby girl, lets go to dinner," I laced my fingers with hers and pulled her to the car. When we reached her side of the car I opened the door and she hopped in, I gently pushed it closed and made my way around the front of the car. I sped out of the street and towards the highway to get to the city.

Four plates, all different colours that signified the cost of them, sat stacked in front of me and three in front of Lani. I was about to stand up which indicated we were finished so that the waiter would bring our bill over but Lani pulled me down. I looked at her confused.
"Remember I told you I had some news?" she queried.
"Oh yeah, what was it?" I responded maybe too quickly. I hoped I didn't sound too eager.
"So after you left this afternoon Miss. Lyell or Michelle or whatever I'm supposed to call her left too but she came back and asked to talk to me," she explained.
"Are you in trouble?" she shook her head and continued.
"She informed me that my request to work as the new 'Merch Assistant' for Of Mice and Men had been approved and that it allowed me to travel within Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia for the remainder of the tour with you and the guys," she disclosed.
"This is great! Lani wow! You should have told me you requested to work with us!" I jumped up and pulled her into a hug, swinging her in a small circle around the restaurant. I couldn't care less about the stares coming from all directions.
"That's the thing Austin I didn't! Michelle did this all for me! She said after talking to you about how much you wanted to see me and reviewing my behaviour she filed the request for me and approved it at the office herself, she did this for me!" she was now bouncing up and down in excitement on the spot.
"Bloody hell, that's fucking awesome!" I hugged her again.
"I mean I'll actually have to work but I'll be getting paid and seeing you so it'll all be perfect Aus!" she had the biggest smile on her face. "Oh my god I have to pack! We leave in the morning!" she realised. We called for our bill and we made our way to the register so we could get back to her house.
"That comes to $42.50 today," the cashier operator announced and before I could pay Lani had already handed her card over.
"Savings please," the girl handed the eftpos machine back to Lani and she punched in her PIN to the keypad. "I don't need my receipt, thank you," she smiled and we walked out.
"Lani! I was going to pay," I said, "Now I look like a cheap bastard!" I was offended.
"No you don't Austin. Plus I have all this money from before I went to jail the least I can do is pay for our dinner, you paid for this ring," I sighed at her.
"Next time I'll pay, no ifs, buts or whats about it!" I informed her, she sighed and agreed. We walked back to where the car was parked and I walked back around to open the door for her. I was startled when she placed her cold hand over mine on the door handle. I turned to face her and she wrapped her tiny arms around my waist. I took my hand from the handle and placed it on the small of her neck and cupped her face in my free hand.
"Austin," she murmured .
"Mmm," I moaned back in reply.
"I- I uh," she stuttered obviously nervous, "I really, really like you Austin and that's so hard to say. I haven't let myself love someone for such a long time. Not since Rhys and yes I know I was engaged to Bryce but it was forced. I tried so hard to love him but I couldn't I was just so scared to love someone. Oh god I'm not saying I love you, it's only been like a week," she was so cute when she was nervous. I brushed the loose hair back behind her ear and placed a kissed on her forehead.
"Take a breath babe," I whispered through the multiple kisses I placed all over her adorable face and she giggled. I stood back again to let her speak.
She exhaled before speaking again, "I'm just saying that I really like you and if I were going to let myself love someone it would be you. I'd choose you, every time, over and over again."
"I wouldn't have it any other way," I pulled her in for another kiss. Her arms wrapped around my neck and my hands gripped at the mesh of her dress. I pushed her back into the door of the car and she gripped at my hair. It drove me crazy. She leaned up to my ear and placed a kiss on my lobe whispering to me.
"We should get in the car so we can continue this somewhere more comfortable," she sounded desperate and it was fucking sexy.
"I know just the place," I whispered back against her neck as I sucked lightly, she let out a soft moan sending me in overdrive, "Okay get in the car before I fuck you right here in this car park," she giggled and pulled away as she opened the door and jumped in. I ran to the other side of the car faster than I've ever run before, excited for the night ahead.

Wooooow I can't wait for the sequel now that you posted this "spoiler" !! Such a good idea to make a sequel that starts like 15 years later and not a few months later haha. I can't wait :D
