The Death Of Me

Leilani's POV:

We arrived back at my house and I noticed my Dad's car in the drive way. I made a mental note to stay clear of his bedroom. Ew. Me and Tarni hauled all our shopping bags from the trunk of my car and made our way inside. When I opened the door I was welcomed by the sound of talking in the kitchen. I wasn't surprised by this but more by whose voices I was hearing.

"There are particular scenarios where we shall consider parolees to travel such as having to attend funerals or important family functions or if the parolee was married and had to move because of their own or their spouses work," I heard Miss. Lyell explaining. Marriage?

"As much as I like Leilani I don't think were getting married any time soon Michelle. So you're saying if we were dating it wouldn't be important enough to allow her to visit, even just for a week?" Austin's voice questioned. Why was he here? He was at least two hours early and clearly everyone was oblivious to Tarni and I's arrival home. We looked at each other with intrigued looks listening in to the conversation.

"She could apply but it would have to be looked over and approved but there's nothing say it would be approved. Let me tell you though Austin her behaviour since she got out is on her side even after the incident in the coffee shop. She, and you might I add, might get lucky," she explained. Tarni looked at me and almost squealed and mouthed 'I told you so' as I tried to hold back a laugh. I decided to announce our arrival. I reopened the door loudly and closed it back up making sure they heard. Surely enough everyone in the kitchen went silent.

"Dad I'm home! Tarni's here too, we're going to get ready we have dinner tonight," pretending that Dad still had no clue about Austin.

"Dinner with Tarni or the nice lad Austin who introduced himself today?" he called out and I walked around to the kitchen falsely pretending to be shocked as Austin stood there next to my Dad.

"How long have you been here? You already knew I was here!" Austin looked at me like I was the cheekiest person alive.

"Oh since we've been getting married," I laughed so hard I snorted. I threw my hands over my mouth in embarrassment and Austin laughed just as hard at I as I did.

"We're not getting married!" he defended.

"Oh thank god, phew!" I said sarcastically as I wiped the fake sweat off my forehead and he rolled his eyes. My Dad spoke up.

"Well Austin was just dropping in to introduce himself Lans, I think you've got a keeper, he's a nice kid we spent the whole afternoon comparing our tattoos," he informed while he flexed out his tattooed arms, no doubt trying to impress his new 'girlfriend'. Yuck.

"I wish," I thought to myself about Austin.

"Oh is that so?" Austin piped up. Oh shit I said that out loud. I blushed.

"Well me and Tarni are going to get ready. Shouldn't you be off Austin I'll see you in a few hours when you pick me up?" I tried to cover up what I'd said as I pushed him out of the kitchen and into the front foyer leaving everyone else in the kitchen and Tarni in my room. I opened the door for Austin indicating for him to exit. He turned to me and embraced me. My breath hitched in surprise but I melted into his arms. I couldn't tell where my arms ended and his started, it was like we were the one person.

"Just admit you want me," he smirked through grinning teeth.

"Isn't it already obvious?" I blushed, that was the best he was going to get out of me. He was happy enough with the answer responding with a soft peck to my lips before he walked out of the door only to return soon.

Austin's POV:

"Austin dude, you've got to go get Leilani!" I heard Aaron calling from his room reminding me of the time. I picked up my jacket from off the bed as I walked out to the living room. All the boys turned, except for Aaron who wasn't in the room.

"Aren't you a little dressed up for sushi?" Phil laughed.

"I don't know man, I walked past it with Tarni the other day and the place looks pretty rich!" Alan defended me. Phil just shrugged and turned back to the game of FIFA him and Alan had paused on the Xbox.

"I just want to impress her man, she's been hurt way too many times and I don't want to let her down," I cooed and then laughed at how lame I sounded. I was never a romantic. I quickly darted to the fridge and pulled a Mother out and cracked it open. I picked up the keys along with my drink and made my way down to the lobby of the hotel and waited for the valet to bring the bands Range Rover around the front. He pulled up around front and I walked around to the drivers side and drove off in the direction of Lani's house.

When I arrived at Leilani's house her dads car wasn't in sight so I'd figured he and Michelle were out for the night. I knocked on the door and waited for a response although with the loud music coming from inside I didn't think the girls would hear me knocking. I turned the handle cautiously, unlocked. I took the initiative to let myself inside and walked to her bedroom. The door was closed so I yelled through the crack.

"Uh girls? Lans are you ready to go?" I asked, yelling over the music. I obviously frightened them because I heard them scream. I laughed to myself, if only I could have seen the looks on their faces.

"Jesus Austin! How'd you get in?" Lani yelled back.

"Well the door was unlocked and no one heard me knock so I came in," I explained but I got no reply instead Tarni opened the door slightly and snuck out, not allowing me to catch a glance at Lani. She looked me up and down with peering eyes.

"Well don't you scrub up well Sir," she smirked. I rolled my eyes and thanked her.

"How long is she going to be?" I was eager to see her. Tarni grinned widely in excitement and it was almost scary.

"Please welcome the one, the only, Leilani Bennett. Dressed and made up by Mwah," she bowed obviously proud of her work and opened the door revealing a beautiful Leilani.

"Wow," I breathed. It was all I could manage to push out, I was speechless. She blushed and looked up at me with her breathtaking, green eyes.

"Shall we go? I've got some exciting news to tell you," her smile sparkled as the words fell effortlessly out of her pursed lips. This girl was going to be the death of me.
