It never ends

Football season is over

Oliver didn't answer, He just dragged me to the car. Pushing Celeste out of the way, I saw her face, she was slightly drunk but knew what was going on unlike scarlett who was stumbling around.

Celeste huffed and opened the back seat and sat next to Kellin, she slammed the door and I knew she was pissed. I didn't care. I got in the car and waited the split second for oliver to walk around and get in. He started the engine and he drove out, we were behind Austin in his car. The drive wasn't long, it was literally just around the corner. I could hear the music pounding from the parking lot. I saw the line and it stretched to the back of the building. I’m not waiting that long. Oliver parked next to austin and we all got out. Celeste tried to slam my door on my fingers but she was to slow.
The clubs name was Afterlife. The e was flickering and the building looked sorta dirty. I could smell the alcohol from outside. People were stumbling out throwing up in the bushes and guys were leading girls to their cars. I had a bad feeling but it drifted away when oliver grabbed my hand.

I must have been walking to slow.

I thought we would’ve had to wait in line, but no. we all walked straight to the front. The bouncer lifted his red velvet rope to let us in. I almost gagged when I walked in. The smell was stronger and it was hot and humid. It was very crowded I lost sight of everyone. There were tables around and poles attached to the ceiling. My head was pulsing and I realized I wanted something to drink.

“Hey oliver” I said and I immediately knew he couldn’t hear me.

“OLIVER!” I yelled and shook his hand. He turned around and looked at me, he was very close and a lot taller than me so I had to look up.

“Can I get something to drink?” I yelled. Oliver looked over at the bar.

“sure”

I followed oliver towards the bar. It would’ve been a short walk if there weren’t so many people. It made me a little uncomfortable.

There were 3 bartenders they all looked like they were in their late 20’s.
One came up to us and asked for our drinks.

“vodka tonic” oliver replied.

“k and you?” he asked me.

“water” as soon as the word left my mouth they both stared at me like I said something in a foreign language.

“water?” oliver asked confused.

“what? I don’t drink”

Their looks got more surprised.

“You’ve never had a drink?” I saw something in olivers eyes. An opportunity.

“no” Oliver faintly smiled and whispered something to the bartender, who nodded and walked away to make our drinks.

“What did you say?” I asked oliver. I just want water.

“Nothing” Oliver replied. I groaned. I don’t really want to drink. I never had any for a reason. I take after my mom and she has a very low alcohol tolerance. She never did drink though, only once, she said alcohol was a sin and I always had a bad thoughts about it.

I felt the air getting heavier. The temperature rising.

The bartender came back with 2 drinks on a silver platter. A clear one and a yellowish white one. Oliver took the clear one and took a sip of the clear one and pushed the yellow one near me. There was something around the rim of the class, there was ice in it.

“What is this?” I asked examining the glass.

“just a margarita, I wouldn’t give you anything heavy” Oliver spoke with a smile. He was to cute. “just try it”

I looked into the glass. It did look good and it was cold. I guess if I was gonna be around scarlett oliver and everyone else I should get used to the taste.

I picked up the glass, it froze my fingers, I felt like it would slip and spill. I put the cup to my lips and I immediately tasted salt then something lemony and lime. Then I tasted the alcohol. It was a sharp taste that I probably would’ve spit out without the lemon taste. It burned slightly as it slid down my throat. I still felt the taste in my mouth when I moved the margarita away from my mouth. It wasn’t bad.

I quess you could say I liked it

Oliver looked at me as if waiting for my reaction. I smiled as I took another sip.

“I knew you would like it” he said. Austin came over with scarlett who had sobered up. She sat next to me

Every sip I felt myself loosening up. I felt more relaxed. The music was drowning out, it wasn’t so loud. The air felt lighter and smelled sweeter. I finished the drink and I wanted another one. Oliver had finished his a while before mine.

Scarlett looked at my drink .

“hey what’s that?” she asked.

“uh I think it was a margarita”

“ouu looks good” Scarlett waved over a bartender. “hey bartender, I’ll have one of those” she asked.

“oh and can I have one too” I asked. I wanted another one. I liked this loose feeling. It was nice but this one will be my last one.

The bartender didn’t take longer than 3 minutes as he brought both drinks.
I took mine and took a sip. Scarlett drank almost the whole things in a couple sips. I asked for another one and another, I kept telling myself to stop but it tasted so good.

The taste of the alcohol didn’t burn as much. In fact it was relieving. I felt my vision get blurry. I got up from the bar stool and stumbled when I stood up. I walked over to oliver. He wasn’t talking anymore but drinking.
I stood in between his legs and laid my head on his shoulder.

“what’s wrong” he asked putting his drink down. I tried to count how many but I couldn’t really focus my vision.

“oli” I whined.

Oliver placed his hands around my waist, we stood face to face. I brushed his hair with my fingers.
I leaned him and attached his lips to mine. I don’t know how many drinks I had. But it must’ve been a couple. I didn’t resist when the kiss got deeper, I just went along with it.

“how many drinks did you have?” Oliver mumbled against my lips.

“I don’t know”.

Time got lost and I don’t know how long we stood there but it must’ve been a while. All thoughts, even illogical ones seemed logical now. I just sorta dazed off and melted in olivers arms.

I didn’t remember much of anything that happened that night.

So I totally didn't re- read this again... Although, I now see the subtle little hints for the turning point in their relationship... It's so obvious now I know about it haha (Not spoiling cause someone people might have just started this)

I honestly love this, this would have to be my favorite one out if all of the fan fiction that I have read and I would love to see you write more <3

I was surprised her mom didn't say anything bad to oliver, but I guess that's in the upcoming chapters. Awesome update!
