Look Into My Eyes

Something I tend to forget is just how much the fans love Vic. To me he isn't a hero. He isn't the people that all those teenagers worship. He's still that lonely boy sitting outside eating his lunch because if he walked inside he'd be pushed up against a table and his lunch money would be stolen. I don't know how he even became what he is today. When I look at him I see his long hair and the muscles in his arms and how good his legs look. But I look in his eyes and he's a completely different person. His hair his short and he's short and skinny and still has the cuts all up his arms.
He's changed so much. I miss his old Pantera hoodie. I don't even know if he still has that. Vic was in the sitting room, on the phone to his manager and taking notes. I tilted my head to the side and watched him. He still does that thing where he tilts his head to the side and looks down. When he sings he does that too. He's biting his lip and nodding absent-mindedly to his phone.
I sat down on the couch next to him and went close to him. I leant my head on his shoulder. Vic wrapped his arm around me and started to play with my hair. He didn't really notice me. He was too absorbed in the phone call. I wrung his t-shirt in my hands and kissed his chest through his shirt a few times. I think I could take my clothes off and chain myself to the coffee table and he'd still be oblivious.
"Oh, yeah. I totally agree." Vic said into his phone. "Well, you know my feelings on that. I think we're moving in the right direction."
After a lot of nodding he put his phone down. I looked at him expectingly and kissed him through his shirt again. "What you doing?" Vic teased. I looked up and saw him smiling.
"You noticed?" I mocked.
"Sorry, Ella. You know what it's like." he sighed.
"I know." I agreed. "Hey, do you ever miss being alone?" I suddenly asked.
"Alone how?" he asked.
"Like in general. I know you like being alone. Do you ever miss it?"
"I can still be alone. I just go into my music room and shut the door until you come looking for me."
"Do you ever want me to go away?"
"Never." he replied. "I waited too long." Vic added.
"I think we should do more things." I stated.
"Like what?"
"Like have fun. Just do things we would have done if I never left."
"If you're trying to make up for lost time there's no need. We have plenty time left." Vic explained.
"I know that." I rolled my eyes. "We should go surfing."
"Now?" he asked.
"Yeah. You love surfing."
"I know. But I have that song to finish and I really wanted to get it done today."
"Stop." I ordered. Vic frowned at me and I held my finger up to his lips. He licked my finger and I smacked his cheek lightly. I kept my finger at his lips and narrowed my eyes. "Where's Mike?" I asked.
"Um . . . Can I speak?" he asked unsurely.
"I don't know. Can you?"
"May I?"
"Yes." I laughed.
"Okay, Mike is with Tony and some other friends."
"And where's Jaime?"
"He's with Jess."
"And where will be in fifteen minutes?"
"Here?"
"No, wrong. You'll be at the beach. Everyone else is having fun, Victor."
"I just don't feel like going out, Ella." he sighed.
"I will make you switch off if it kills me." I said. I lay across him so my face was pressed into the couch.
"What you doing?" Vic asked gently.
"Lying down." I replied easily. Vic held me gently and I felt him place one of his hands on my bum. "I miss you." I suddenly said.
"I'm right here."
"I mean when you're gone I miss you." I explained.
"I miss you too, Drella. You know that."
"Um yeah..." I muttered.
"Is there something you want to talk about?" Vic asked.
"Kind of..." I trailed away.
"Go on?" he urged.
"I got in touch with my dad."
"And?" he asked apprehensively.
"He gave me the name of my birth mother."
"What else did he say?" Vic asked carefully.
"Well I told him that I know. I said that I deserved to know. He agreed in the end and said they did it to try and help someone. But they didn't realise just how hard it was going to be."
"Are you okay?" Vic asked gently.
"I don't know. I guess so." I shrugged. "I don't know how I feel. All I know about my birth mother is that her name was Taylor Foxx."
"That was your mothers maiden name. Right?"
"Yeah." I confirmed.
"So she was related to your mom?"
"I guess so. She loved in New York for a while too. But that's all I know."
"Do you want me to give my friend your number?"
"Can you?" I asked hopefully.
"Yeah, sure. Just prepare yourself when you find out the truth."
"I want to know her. I want to sample what she sampled and try what she tried."
"You might not want to. I don't want you building her up to be some great super hero. When you learn she isn't it'll just hurt twice as bad."
"Doesn't every child think they're parents are the best thing ever though? Everyone goes through the let down."
"I don't want you too." Vic admitted.
"Thanks." I said dryly and kissed his cheek. I sat up and hugged Vic around his middle. He smiled down at me and rested his forehead on my head. "Vic?" I asked.
"Hmm?"
"You know if we get married can I take your name?"
"Isn't that the way it should be anyway?" he frowned.
"No, I mean your first name. Drella sounds good with nothing. Victor Young sounds alright."
"Anything you like." he chuckled and leant down to kiss me.

I love this series. You really need to write a sequel AND vics pov. You are seriosuly the best writer I have come across on this site. You've made me laugh, cry, and even angry.

I've spent all day reading this series! I had to endure my internet just randomly quitting on me about three times. I'm on vacation, so I'm pretty sure everyone thinks I'm a total loser, but it was so worth it! I would love to read any sort of sequel if you still have one planned.
