I'm Sorry

Chapter Three - A Smile On Her Lips And Scars On Her Wrists

I woke up with a bruising pain on my leg. Oh yeah...the cuts. I got up slowly, stretching my limbs. I changed into black skinny jeans after taking the bandage off my leg and looking at the raw cuts. They could start bleeding at any moment. I put on my Christmas shirt and out bracelets over the already fading cuts on my wrist. I checked my calender “ December 25 ” I read out loud...wait....IT'S CHRISTMAS!? “ WOOHOO!!! ” i screamed and ran towards the front lounge where we had our table set up like a Christmas tree just, with no tree. Everyone came out behind me after hearing my shout of joy. I passed out the presents and everyone took them to their own rooms. I took mine to my room. I got bracelets, notebooks, iPhone cases, iTunes gifts cards, CDs, etc. I opened the last gift. A small one that didn't say who it was from. I already got all the gifts from my band...who else could have given me a gift? I opened it to reveal a heart broken in half. I took the card and read it over “ Hazel, I don't know how to explain this but you are a wonderful person beyond compare. I just wanna give this to you in my way of asking if we can be friends. I'll be wearing the other half for the rest of my life. Stay strong. Love, Austin ” Austin!? Austin sent this to me? Hmmm...well of course we can be friends. I looked on the back of the card and saw his phone number on it. I texted him... ' Thanks for the gift ' he texted back almost immediately ' your welcome <3 ' I decided not to text back. I put on the necklace and went to look around the new venue. I stepped off the bus and went to see where all the buses were placed. Of Mice And Men was across from us. Pierce The Veil to the left of us. Sleeping With Sirens was right next to OMAM and the other buses were places closer to the back of the venue. “ YES! FRONT OF VENUE! ” I yelled happily. I love being in the front. It's closer to the fans and the exits and the stages! I smiled happily and walked around the venue. Oh, today is gonna be fun! Show at 6.... Christmas party right after. I'M SO EXCITED! I felt a presence behind me “ hello Hazel ” a creepy voice said. I screamed and heard laughter behind me. I turned around and saw Kellin and Vic behind me. I was breathing hard and could feel myself starting to have a panic attack. “ No no no....calm down Haze, calm down! ” Vic said in a worrying tone. He pulled me in for a hug and i started to cry. Another voice appeared out of nowhere, “ you guys know better than to scare her! ” Jaime's voice said angrily. “ sorry Hime its just that... “ Kellin started but Jaime interrupter “ just stop...c'mon Haze “ he led me away from them and brought me to a bench. ' t-thanks Jaime “ i stuttered out. He smiled at me “ sorry about them, they've been in a pranking mood. “ i smiled back “it's okay, I'm better now “ i said and got up to leave. He gave me a hug and we went our own ways.

I got dressed in my Of Mice And Men shirt and my lace stockings under black, high waisted shorts. I slipped on my classic vans and put on my bracelets. I put on my Bring Me The Horizon plugs and changed my red iPhone case for my Pierce The Veil iPhone case. I ran backstage to where my band was already waiting. “ okay....okay guys I'm here “ i said out of breath. “ took you long enough asshole “ Danny whispered under his breath. I gasped quietly, shocked. Danny looked towards me as i started to tear up. Ugh I hate how I'm so sensitive. “ Haze... “ I looked away and wiped at my tears angrily. I grabbed my mic and dashed out on stage. “ MERRY CHRISTMAS YOU FILTHY ANIMALS! “ i yelled as i saw all the fans. They all cheered happily. “ now I'm gonna do a cover for you guys! This is called our Merry Christmas special! I'm gonna cover the song Let Love Bleed Red for you guys and i hope you enjoy it! “ I sat down on a stool and signaled for the guys to play “ Is it naive to make plans that seem so far away? There's a reason I feel this way, Your sleeping alone, I'm awake. When you dream of me tonight, am i close to where you are? “ the song went on until we finished. We then went on to the other songs of the night. When we finished, we ran off stage “ c'mon guys, lets get ready for this party “ I said quietly. “ Hazel-- “ anger surged through me at Danny's voice. “ Daniel I really don't want to talk to you! “ I bursted out. I stormed towards the bus and went inside the bathroom to redo my makeup. I finished and stepped out of the bathroom so the boys could take a shower. " I'll meet you guys at the party " I said, stepping outside to find Of Mice And Men's bus which happens to be the largest bus in the lot. They have tons of extra bedrooms and bathrooms. I went inside and the party had already started. I moved around the party with happiness. I grabbed a beer and sat down on one of the couches. Someone sat beside me. It was Austin " hey Aust! " I said happily. " hey Haze! So, I was wondering if sometime we could get together and get to know each other better! " I smiled " of course Austin! Sometime soon... " then I got up and moved among the dancing people. I felt someone grab my waist, digging their nails into my leggings and making little holes in them " hi Hazel "mike's voice said " mike? What's wrong with you! " I said, startled at his actions. Then I could smell it. The alcohol and weed on his breath. " mike let me go! " he ignored me and pulled me towards another room. An extra one. He tore his strong hands into my tights and ripped them at the seam. He ripped off my shirt angrily and tore off my shorts. " I'll have you now! You can't keep me from having you this time " he growled. He pushed his lips against mine and I tried to get loose of his grip. He just squeezed me tighter as I struggled. I bit his lip and he jumped back, surprised. I had to catch my breath which gave him the perfect opportunity to undress. He gripped my body, leaving bruises in my pale skin. He bit and kissed at my neck as I squirmed to get away from his naked body. He gripped me tighter and tighter until I could feel myself start to bleed where his finger nails dug into my skin. He went down my body with his fingers and attacked me viciously. Eventually I grew so tired from trying to escape that I passed out from weakness.

* Austin's POV *

I heard sounds coming from one of the extra rooms. I peeked in to see a figure on top of an unconscious person. I looked closer to see that the unconscious figure is Hazel and the one raping her is mike! I angrily burst in and pulled him off of her. I punched him square in the face and he passed out. I covered up Hazel's naked body and called Alan " dude, what's up? " Alan asked " Alan, get into the first extra bedroom in the left, now! " he hung up and within minutes he was in the room. " WOAH WOAH WOAH TO MUCH MIKE IS BEING EXPOSED! " he cried out. " oh shut up and help me get Haze to the hospital! " he called 9-1-1 and the ambulance was here within minutes. They took Hazel to the hospital and Alan and I followed behind. When we made it to the hospital, we had to stay in the waiting room. I sat down with my head in my hands and I silently cried to myself. A doctor came out to inform us about how she was doing. " Mr. Carlile and Mr. Ashby? " he called out. We went up to him. " Hazel seems to have lost a great amount of blood and was bleeding from the inside as well. We've taken care of her and patched up her cuts and internal bleeding but due to a severe amount of blood loss, she is in a coma and we have no exact idea of when she'll wake up. We've also found some self harm scars and cuts and were wondering if you were aware of them " we were speechless. " n–no we didn't know of these scars. We will be taking care of the matter on our own though...can we see her now? " Alan said. The doctor lead us to her room. I went in and sat down in the seat next to her. " oh please wake up Haze....please " she squirmed at my voice " Austin? " she asked " hazel? " her eyelids fluttered open " I wanna go back " I frowned " what? " she started to cry " please take me back to my band and the venue...please Aust please! " I sighed " okay, okay, I'll get you signed out and we can go " she leaned back and relaxed into the pillow. That's when I saw the scars.
