Time-Bomb-

Chapter 11

After school when Vic and I were walking down to the parking lot together I spotted Hayley and Josh. I put my arm in front of Vic in order to stop him from walking so Hayley wouldn't see us.
"What do you mean it was my fault?" Hayley questioned and squinted her eyes at him.
"Hay, you tried to hurt him, maybe you needed to be taught a lesson," he said calmly.
"So you're going to side with some fag over your own girlfriend?"
"N- I.... Yea. Yea I am," Josh said.
"Are you fucking serious, Josh?"
"I just... Don't think it was right of you to try and humiliate the poor kid," Josh frowned.
"He cheated on Taylor!"
"That's her business."
"You're such a fucking dick." Hayley sneered and shoved his chest but it didn't affect him much.
"Alright," he nodded.
"We're through," she said.
"Sweet, I had my eye out for someone who was fucking nicer than you," Josh yelled and walked back in our direction.
"Josh," I whispered once he got close enough.
He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, "you didn't hear all of that... Did you?"
"I did," I admitted.
"You deserve much better," Vic said in consultation.
"Thanks," Josh said, "but now I've just lost all of my friends. Hayley is going to make this look like it's all my fault, I don't have the effort to fight back."
"I'm your friend," I smiled.
"You can hang out with us at school, if you want," Vic added.
Josh's eyes lightened up.
"Thanks," he smiled.
"I'm really sorry about Hayley, too. She really isn't as bad as she seems, but I couldn't handle her anymore."
"That's alright," I laughed.

The next day out group had grown in size because Josh, Jenna, Andy, and Tay all decided to join us. Jenna, Tay, and Sierra were all getting along really well. Sierra was telling them about the pranks she had planned to pull on Hayley in the near future.
I was sitting in Vic's lap listening to Andy speak lines in Latin that I couldn't understand but enjoyed the sound of.
I looked up when I heard footsteps coming towards me.
"Kellin," Mike said to get my attention.
"What?" I asked.
Vic tightened his grip on my hand to remind me that Mike was still his brother.
"I'm really sorry," Mike admitted with a croaky voice.
"A-all I've been thinking about is how horrible I've treated you. I never meant to hurt you like that and now you're with Vic and I... I feel like shit. I regret it so much," he said. It was weird seeing him so vulnerable, without his tough-guy persona.
"I can't say I'd be friends with you... But I forgive you, alright? Stop feeling sorry for yourself."
"Thank you," Mike sighed sadly.
"I'll make it up to you."
"No worries," I said and looked at Vic for his approval.
Vic nodded and kissed the tip of my nose.
Andy cleared his throat and I turned my attention back to him.
"Want to hang out after school?" Andy asked.
"Sure," I smiled, "the three of us can get burritos!"
"Well," Andy said and ran his fingers through his golden-brown hair, "I meant just you and me."
"Oh," I said and turned around to Vic for his opinion.
"Go ahead," he smiled.
"Cool," I said and nodded at Andy.
"Yeah," he smiled.
"You guys are so chill," Josh said, leaning back into the grass.
"What?" Vic chuckled.
"Well, when I was with Hayley she'd always be gossiping and shit. It's annoying. I like kicking back. It's good to relax for a change."
"Where is she anyway?" Vic asked.
"With Zack," Josh laughed.
"Funny thing is they're such opposites I don't think he'd last the whole lunch period alone with her, he's probably already made some stupid excuse to leave and smoke a blunt."
We all laughed. I played with the grass besides Vic's knees while waiting for the lunch bell to ring.

When Vic and I were walking to art class it was like my popularity was restored again, and Vic was quite the popular kid as well.
"Yo yo, if it isn't my favorite gay couple," a girl said while walking down the hallway.
We made it into the classroom and took out regular seats to continue what we've been working on the past few weeks.
"Excuse me," the same girl who approached me a week and a half ago asked.
"Could I ask you guys some questions for the school newspaper?"
"Sure," Vic smirked.
She just gathered information from our coming out story and how we met and all. It was probably going to be a stupid article that most of the students ignored but I was still happy to answer her questions anyway.

The end of the day rolled around and I kissed Vic goodbye and watched him drive off with Mike in the car so they could go home.
Someone held their fingers over my eyes and asked softly, "guess who?"
"Hmmm, Spider-Man?" I asked sarcastically.
"Funny," Andy said and turned me around.
"My car is parked on the other side of the school," he said.
"Kay."
We walked over to his car and he opened the door for me before he got into his side and put the key inside to start the engine.
"Thanks for being such a good friend, Kellin," Andy smiled.
"No problem, right back at you," I said, waiting for him to start driving.
"You know," Andy said while turning the key back and shutting the car off.
"I've got something to tell you," He said and pursed his lips.
"Yeah?"
He smiled cockily and pushed me back in my seat to plant a good kiss on my lips.
I pushed him away by his shoulders after I realized what he was doing.
"Andy, I..."
"You don't like me?"
"No, it's just that I'm dating Vic. That was not okay... What the hell, dude."
"Sorry."
"Are you?" I asked, a little bit flustered because now I was craving to kiss someone but it just wouldn't be right for me to kiss him. Damn teenage hormones. Come on, why did there have to be an attractive male in front of me who obviously liked me.
"I want you," Andy whimpered.
"I'm dating Vic."
"I know... It can be our little secret," he purred.
"No," I said and reached for the door handle but he thought fast and locked it so that I couldn't open it.
"Fuck."
"Right here, right now, babe?"
"Get off me!" I yelled and shoved him away from me so he hit his back on the headboard.
"Feisty," he laughed.
Andy turned the car on and pulled out of the parking space.
"Let me out," I said with panic.
"I want you, Kellin."
"Stop it. You can't always get what you want," I breathed.
"But I can try," he winked.
"This is kidnapping!"
"You willingly came into my car," Andy said innocently.
"You jerk. How long have you been planning this?"
"Glad you asked," he smiled deviously, "since the day I first saw you in my Latin class I knew that I wanted you. I wanted to be with you and I wanted you to love me. Then you got with Tay and ruined everything. I figured it wouldn't last long, though. None of her relationships last very long."
I felt guilty for only dating her for a week and then cheating on her but then I remembered I was locked in a car with a psychopath at the moment so that didn't really matter.
"Then you started dating Vic, and that's where I saw a real threat."
"Let me go now and I won't tell the police," I said.
"Oh, Kellin. You just don't get it," he grinned.
"If I am not allowed to have you, then Vic can't either."
"There will be no 'telling the police' because you won't be alive to tell the tale."
I froze. This was why Vic had the connection with me. He could see my future because his power was the count down to the time-bomb that was set to explode the day I die, or get... murdered.
"No, please Andy, don't do this!"
"Will you agree to forget Vic forever and be my boyfriend?"
"No! No I love Vic, I'm not dating some psychopath!"
"Very well," he said and turned his attention back to the road in front of him as he pulled into an open garage and shut it once we were inside.
"I'm going to unlock the doors," he said calmly, "if you open them," he cracked his knuckles all at once, "I will kill you."
"Oh shit," I cried to myself.
"I won't hurt if you follow my directions exactly."
"Okay," I said with a ball in my throat from choking back tears.
"Good."
"I'm going to open your door and you're going to follow me downstairs to my room."
I nodded and closed my eyes but a little teardrop escaped from my left eye.
"Aw, don't cry. You'll be fine as long as you listen to me," he cooed.
Only, I knew I wouldn't be fine. I knew that I would die soon. Vic wouldn't be able to stop it, either. He couldn't with the last five people, what made me so different?
"Come on now," he smiled and took hold of my wrist to lead me to his basement, which also happened to be his bedroom.
"Please, Andy, stop," I choked.
"Sit down here," he said and pushed me gently into a wooden chair.
"So, Kellin, your decision now. Date me, or date no one," he grinned.
I looked away and breathed heavily trying to stop myself from hyperventilating.
"Well?" He asked.
"No one," I croaked.
"Sorry, didn't hear you."
"No one," I said a little louder.
"Alright," he sighed, "that's too bad, I actually liked you," he laughed sadly.
He pulled out duct tape and quickly restricted my arms and legs, I would've fought back but I felt hopeless. There was no way someone my size could fight off someone his size.
Once there was absolutely no chance of me getting out he sat down on his bed in front of me and reached his hand underneath his mattress.
I was cowering in fear. I couldn't believe my life was going to end like this.
"If I can't have you," he whispered while cocking the gun in his hands that was pointed right at my head, "then nobody can."
And just like nothing, the gun was fired.
