Believe You Me

January 2nd

I walked hand in hand with Julie in the airport, looking for our terminal when she spotted Casey and Jaime talking. “Found it!” She happily said, running over with her bag to them. I smiled, following her in my own slow pace.

After the wedding, Julie and I spend every waking moment together. She was fine the first few weeks, but she soon got sick and off to the hospital we went. In the middle of November, she collapsed when we went out for some lunch. I freaked out in the middle of the street, causing a huge scene and people to panic. She went back to the hospital for a few days but soon was back on her feet.

On Christmas, the four guys came over along with our families to the hospital room. We spent a total of a month in the hospital since we got married. I promised her I would stay by her side and I did just that; assuring her that she had no reason to be afraid of me leaving.
Julie was a fighter, and we all knew that. She did all that we could to keep her here with us and that was all that mattered.

I reached the group, sitting and talking with them when Julie got a phone call. “Hello doctor Evans.” She answered the phone. The rest of went back to talking but I couldn’t forget the next words that tumbled out of her mouth next. “What do you mean the babies are fine?” She asked. I stopped talking, my head snapping to Julie who was confused but was soon jumping out of her seat. “Twins!? Are you serious!?” She jumped up and down, hanging up the phone and turned to me. “The paperwork for the recent hospital visit came in and we’re having twins! We’re going to be parents Mike!” Julie grinned at me. I got up, wrapping my arms around her and spinning.

Excited was an understatement for the emotions I felt when Julie said those words. I was the world’s happiest man alive. Julie and I were going to be amazing parents. I thanked the guys as they congratulated us and gave us hugs. I kept my arm around Julie, grinning down at her and kissing her cheek. “Thank you babe.” I smiled, holding her hand in mine.

BMTH throw sick concerts. They were totally amazing at what they did and the fans were just as amazing. They greeted us with positive feedback and we were pretty stoked, seeing all these new places. Julie has been feeling a bit down, so she would stay in our tour bus just sleeping and eating. I would go out, perform and come back to make sure she was fine. We walked around Manchester, sightseeing when Julie felt lightheaded and we rushed her to the emergency room. We had to miss the concert that night, but BMTH explained to the crowd what happened.

I sat next to Julie, her sound asleep when a nurse came in. “Mr. Fuentes? Can I speak with you?” She asked. I nodded, standing up and rubbing my eye. I was too tired but I couldn’t sleep, every time I fell asleep, I dreamt that the heart monitor stopped beeping and a long continuous beep was all that I heard.

“Mr. Fuentes, I am aware that you are currently with a band touring but I need you to know that Mrs. Fuentes needs to be under strict supervision with this. Her life, along with the two babies’ life, could be at risk. I know it might be hard, but she needs to stay here or be under strict supervision.” I nodded, telling her that I would let them know when Casey got here. I watched her leave before I went back to the couch. Julie looked over at me, her light brown eyes looked sad.

“I’m sorry for ruining the tour, Mike.” She whispered, looking away. I rushed over, holding her in my arms and shushing her.

“No, baby, you didn’t ruin the tour. Don’t ever say that. We’re taking care of you because we love you.” I calmly spoke, brushing her hair out of face and she nodded, tears falling and she sniffed, wiping her tears away.

“Mike leave me here, just go with the band, this is better for both of us and the babies.” I looked at her, nodding and laying on the bed next to her.

“If that’s what you want, then alright.” I spent the rest of my time with her, allowing myself to just relax. Casey, Vic, Jaime and Tony got here a while later and they stayed with us until visiting hours where over. Casey talked with the doctor, agreeing to leave Julie here so they can take care of her. The guys left us alone for a bit and I sat next to her on the bed, holding her hand in mine. She smiled sadly at me, leaning to me and hugging me tightly.

We exchanged our usual goodbye, a loving kiss, our love confession, and a tight hug. I walked to the door, looking at her one last time and walking out. I closed the door behind me, leaning against it. I heard her soft sobs and I looked up, tears falling as I recited a prayer in my head. I wiped my tears away, walking out of the hospital and back to the bus with the guys.

I have to update so I don't just forget and then I feel bad in the end. Thank you guys for sticking with me in the tough time. I talked with an old friend through Tumblr and she helped me through this.
