Believe You Me

October 21st

I looked at myself in the mirror, my mother was crying on my shoulder and my father was telling me how proud he was of me. I smiled, watching my mother and father walk out of the room and Vic come in. “Ready hermano?” He smiled. I nodded and fixed my tie again, sighing heavily and walking out with him to the altar. I passed by all the guests, thanking them and standing in front by the priest.

“Everything is great, any moment now and she’ll come walking down the aisle.” Casey assured. The music began playing and he took his spot behind Vic and I saw Mr. Ervin appear at the end of the church, Julie’s arm linked with his. My stomach was filled with butterflies when her eyes met mine and we smiled at each other.

Her dress was beautiful. It had a few diamonds around her torso, sparkling like her eyes. The flowers in her where light blue, just like the tradition she loved. Something new, used, borrowed, and something blue. She had her mother’s pearl earrings that she borrowed from her, her light blue flowers, she had a new necklace around her neck that her father had bought her and she had some white heels that she owned but never really used.

My eyes trailed down her dress, then back up to meet her eyes and I smiled at her. He father kissed her cheek, handing her over to me and I held her hand tightly in mine. She grinned at me, her thin flower crown resting on her light brown hair and she blushed, looking down.

“You clean up good Mr. Fuentes.” She whispered as we faced the minister.

“I can say the same Mrs. Fuentes.” I whispered back and the minister chuckled.

“Not yet, but let’s begin.” The ceremony started, each of us saying our vows and handing each other our rings. We shared our vows as we exchanged our rings and I had to wipe a few tears that threatened to fall from my eyes. I looked over at Julie as she wiped a tear that cascaded down her cheek and I smiled at her, knowing this was the best decision I have made so far. It wasn't long before the priest smiled at us and said those words I have longed to hear since this morning.

"I now pronounce you man and wife, you can kiss your bride now." I grinned, turning to Julie and she was smiling looking at me. I cupped her face gently, looking at her and she giggled.

"I love you." She whispered.

"I love you more." I whispered back. I brought her face to mine, softly kissing her as our family clapped. We separated and headed outside, having our families take pictures with us and tell us that they would met us in the reception. We got in the limo, on our way to the banquet hall when Julie held her head, feeling light-headed. I held her arm, asking if she was okay.

"I'll be fine, I get these sometimes. It'll go away." She smiled, assuring me that everything was going to be fine. I smiled, kissing her cheek and holding her hand tightly in mine. "You're going to break our wrists." Julie giggled and I just smiled. "You okay Mike?"

"I don't want to lose you." Julie cupped my cheek, bringing my face up to look at her and she smiled at me.

"You never will lose me. I'm still here with you aren't I?" I looked at her and she wrapped her arms around my neck. "One day I won't be here, but I promise I will always look after you." I nodded, bringing her close to me and hugging her tightly. The limo stopped at the banquet hall and we let go of each other. Getting out of the car, we were greeted by the four guys.

"Julie, you looked so beautiful! I'm going to marry you one day too!" Jaime grinned and took her hand in his. I laughed, Vic and Tony hugging me and Casey trying to get Julie to stand still so he could fix her dress. I laughed at a joke my brother told me and turned to see Jaime grabbing Julie’s hand and pull her to the banquet hall.

“Let’s go before Jaime takes my wife to our honeymoon.” I joked and we followed behind them. Jaime gave Julie back to me before we got inside and I opened the door, seeing the place filled with family and friends we had invited. We greeted all of them, having the dinner passed out an hour after our arrival and soon we had to do the traditional wedding dance.

Julie loved Your Guardian Angel by the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus so, that was out wedding song. We swayed back and forth, occasionally twirling her and holding her in my arms. “I love you.” I whispered, holding her tightly.

“I love you more.” She giggled, hugging me just as tightly.

That was the day I began filming everything that happened to us. Good or bad, I have all the home video’s saved. I have to say, out of all of them, this video was the least played.
