One Hundred Sleepless Nights

I looked down at the floor and chewed on my bottom lip. I wrung my hands together and sighed. I shuffled forwards on the couch to try and buy myself some time. I looked it and saw Vic was watching me, a frown clouding his face.
"Vic." I muttered.
"Yes, Zandra?" he asked. Oh he knew what he was doing.
"I'm..."
"Yeah?"
"You know." I huffed.
"I don't know." he smirked.
"Don't make me say it, please." I begged.
"I don't know what you mean, Zee."
"I'm sorry!" I exclaimed. "Okay, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean it. I know I was a complete bitch."
"Yeah, you were a bitch." he agreed.
"I know. I'm sorry, Vic. I don't really want to move to New York and I know you care about us. Even if you do care about your hair you still care about us. Even though I'm horrible to you, I still love you." I said quietly. "So sorry." I mumbled.
"Okay Zee," Vic said. He came to sit next to me and turned to look at me. "I love you too."
"So are we good?" I asked.
"I guess, as long as you make it up to me."
"I hope you're not talking about sexual favours. Because I can't even paint my toenails."
"You'll just have to bribe me with food."
"Fine." I groaned. Vic smiled lightly and kissed my cheek. I turned and leaned into kiss him. Vic's lips met mine and he kissed me back. I smiled as we pulled away and Vic took my hand.
"Let's go to the beach." Vic urged.
"Okay." I nodded.
I stood up with Vic and he grabbed his car keys. We walked out and headed downstairs still holding hands. Which is something I don't really like. I think the whole thing is bizarre and after a while your hand starts to hurt or the other persons hand gets sweaty which makes your hand smell like B.O. We went outside and to Vic's car.
Vic pulled out of the parking lot and onto the road. I watched him as he drove. I think he's forgiven me. I'm not completely sure though. I did say some bad things about his mom. But she told me she wished I had an abortion for Christ's sake. Am I really the only bad person here?
We reached a parking lot not far from the beach and parked. I got out oft he car and went around to Vic. He took my hand again and I tried not to think of the passive B.O. situation that was bound to occur.
"Whys it so hot?" I grumbled as we walked.
"It's not that hot, Zee." Vic reasoned.
"Are you pregnant?" I asked.
"Well, no."
"No baby, no opinion." I said dryly.
"If you're that hot we could we could find a shady spot and we could buy some ice cream." Vic is way too sweet for me.
"Okay." I smiled.
"We're meeting Austin and Charlie there."
"No splitting them up." I warned.
"Like I could." Vic rolled his eyes.
We went to Vic's favourite spot on the beach. I personally don't think it's any different from say... the rest of the sand on the beach. But I really don't want to start another argument. I saw Austin with Charlie or Jemma 2 as I've been internally calling her lately.
"Zee," Austin grinned. He stood up and made room for me. I sat down and he bent down to hug me. "You okay?" Austin asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I smiled.
"You look pissed off." he observed.
"Do I?" I groaned.
"It's a little hot for her." Vic explained. Why? I can explain myself.
"Yeah," I mumbled. "I'm getting a little irritable." I shrugged.
"Which means everyone annoys her." Vic said. Damn, has he got an issue? I saw Vic sit down... next to Jemma 2. Bitch.
"How are you?" Jemma 2 asked me.
"Fine." I replied.
"How far along are you?" Fucking hell, should I write 7 months down and staple it to my forehead?
"Seven months." I said.
"Only two left." Vic grinned. Shit, he's right. Jemma 2 is smiling at him and laughing. So is Austin. Why the fuck is she so close to Vic? I narrowed my eyes and started to angrily dig a hole in the sand with my finger.
"Zee?" Austin asked.
"Like I said, she's irritable." Ugh shut up, Vic. We've only just made up and he's already pissing me off.
"Isn't that Michelle?" Austin asked Vic. I turned and saw them looking at a blonde, skinny girl. I used to be skinny.
"I'm going to say hello." Vic said.
He jumped up and ran over to skinny blonde woman. I watched them laughing and chatting. Then I saw her put her hand on Vic's arm. I suddenly felt very angry. I think I'm getting delusional. The woman reached up to kiss him on the cheek. The cheek. That's right by his lips. His perfect full lips. His Mexican lips.
I got up and stormed over to him just as they were saying their goodbyes. Vic turned and looked scared to see me marching over like I was returning an iron back to Sears. I took Vic's arm and glared at some children playing in the sea.
"What's wrong?" Vic asked.
"Who was that?" I asked anxiously.
"Oh Michelle? She used to be our merch girl." he explained.
"Do you love her?" I asked. I was trying to sound like I didn't care. But actually I'm freaking out. But I'm not jealous!
"Do I love Michelle? Have you gone insane?" Vic laughed.
"You might as well get her pregnant too and you can all live happily together. You'll all wear t-shirts with your face on them and your children may be able to sing and play guitar and be skinny but they'll have the personality of a doorknob." I rushed.
"Zee." Vic managed to get out before he started laughing loudly. He carried on laughing all the way back to Austin. "You're cute." Vic told me and he kissed my cheek. I stood there frowning for a moment. I'm not cute.
"What's so funny?" Austin asked. Then I realised Jemma 2 wasn't here.
"Zee is cute." Vic said simply.
"She is." Austin agreed. "Charlie got called into work. She said sorry." he explained.
"That's okay." I shrugged.
"Back to our place?" Vic offered.
"Sure, just when we've restocked the cupboards." I muttered.
"Just for that, I'm coming back and eating your food." Austin said.
He stood up and stood next to me with Vic on my other side. We started walking away from the beach and to the parking lot where the car was. We only got half way there when we came to a recording studio. I wouldn't have noticed it if Oli hadn't stumbled out. He looked at us and straightened up.
"Not drunk, Oli?" Austin mocked. "Not going back to those days, are you?" I have no idea what 'those days' were like, but Oli is looking pretty pissed off right now.
"I see you're not with your new girl. Has she left already? Just like Jemma did." Oli shot back. Oh no.
"Fuck you." Austin spat.
"You know she was only with you for your looks. You know that right?"
"Guys," Vic tried. "I don't think this will achieve anything."
"I'll break his jaw. That's an achievement." Austin said tightly.
"Is that how you make Mommy proud?" Oli mocked. Fuck.
"Don't talk about his mother like that!" I warned.
"Would she be proud to know you're a cheater?" Oli went on.
Vic and I exchanged a quick look before Austin went forward. Vic tried to grab him but Austin pushed him away. Austin brought his fist back before he punched Oli in the nose. Oli held his nose for a moment and I saw he was bleeding. Oli glared and punched Austin. Vic stood in front of me and tried to break it up. So much for Oli being painfully and sickeningly nice.
"Stop!" I yelled. But it didn't work.
"Go back home!" Austin screamed. Then he didn't.
Austin fell back onto the floor and I heard his head bang off of the pavement. I bent down and took his face in my hands. He looked pale with a few marks and a split lip. Austin's eyes were closed. I tried shaking him but it didn't work. He was breathing.
"You knocked him out!" I exclaimed. "You bastard!"
"Shit," Oli muttered. "Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit!"
"Yeah, shit!" Vic spat. I saw him pacing and he was red in the face. I don't think I've seen him this angry for a while. "Run away!" he suddenly yelled at Oli. Oli looked down at Austin before he ran back inside the studio.
"Call an ambulance." I told Vic. He swallowed hard and nodded as he got his phone out. I looked back down at Austin. Fuck.
