Why Do You Torture Me So?

We just kept talking for an hour and a half after Vic had given me. We had gotten caught up and settled down. It had always scared me, the thought of running into them, but now I was next to them; cuddling Mike, cracking jokes and having a grand old time. But one thing puzzled me. How did they know where I lived?

"Guys, I have a question. Why were you following me?" I asked and Jaime looked down and held Vic's hand tightly. My breathe had caught in my throat as Tony began to sniffle. Something had to be wrong. Like really wrong because they all looked like they were going to cry, except Mike.

"Jaime," Mike said holding me tightly. "I think you should tell her considering you're the one who first found out."

"Find out what?" I asked sitting up immediately. Something was wrong. Something had to be. Otherwise they wouldn't look like they were about to cry. I Reached out taking Tony's hand and gave it a squeeze.

"Alice, umm We were trying To find you because ummm..." Jaime trailed off and I was about to explode from all the voices and thoughts running through my head.

"Because what?!" I yelled as Mike held onto me. I woulda jumped outta my seat but Mike held me back and Tony gripped my hand. I knew something was wrong. "Please just tell me. Please." I begged as they watched me.

"Alice, the reason that you haven't been able to get a hold of you Mother is because she was murdered on her way to Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Vic and I were given a call about a week ago from the police. I know what you're saying. About your dad telling you she's staying with her old friends but he's lying to you. I'm sorry Alice." He said and sobbs shook my body. I couldn't believe it. He promised shed be home soon and the only reason I'm still living with my parents is because I didn't have enough money for a house by myself.

"No. It can't be real. He said she's staying with her old friends. He said she's coming home soon. Oh god. Oh my god." I said leaning forward, resting my head in my waiting hands. I should have known. I should have known she was dead.

"I'm sorry Baby Girl." Mike said hugging me tightly but I pulled away. I didn't even look at the guys as I walked sorta calmly outta the room.

"Excuse me. I need to use your bathroom." I said and found my way to the bathroom door. I flung it open and quickly shut it and locked it as I slide down the back of it.

I sat on the floor and desperately reached into my bra for my little 'friend'. My little 'friend' was a inch and a half long piece of cold metal from a box cutter that would take my pain away. It would make me feel better even if just for a little bit.

"Oh little friend, I need your help again." I breathed out as I gripped it tightly in my hand and drug it across my arm. Relief rushed through me as I did it again and again, over and over across both forearms and both thighs. I leaned against the door, once more letting out a sigh. I smiled looking at the blood that ran like little rivers from the cuts I made.

"Abby?" A voice called from outside the door. "Its just me,Michael. No one else is on the bus. Please let me in." He said softly knocking on the door and I shifted my weight so I could unlock the door. Once I did, Mike burst through the door looking terrified. I brought my knees up to my chest as I rocked back and forth, opening the cuts up further.

"Oh Baby Girl. Oh Please hang on Baby Girl." He said as he dampened a cloth and began cleaning my cuts with them. Once he bandaged them all he kisses the bandages. I stayed there shocked as hell but the words he spoke made me wanna cry.

"I kissed the scars on her skin. I still think you're beautiful, and I don't ever wanna loose my best friend." He sang softly and held me close. After a while I had fallen asleep and he brought me to his bunk and crawled in next to me.
