Maybe Ill Pretend Right Now

I asked for another drink of pure vodka.
I didnt see any of the boys around just Mike.
Chris was talking to the bartender about a new tattoo he was going to get.
The knot that Chris had unraveled seemed to have tangled up again like my headphones always did.
Chris turned and looked at me with just one stare into my eyes he knew something was wrong. And it was.
"Vanessa?"
"Yes?"
"Whats going on in your head?"
"Ummm....Mike is here"
"Where?"
I pointed my finger slightly into Mikes direction.
"OH" Chris said.
"You want to leave?"
I nodded my head.
"Okay" Chris kissed my forehead.
Chris was leading me to the exit pulling me by my hand. I didnt notice he was holding my hand. Our fingers were interlaced. Chris opened the door when i felt a hand on my shoulder.
My head snapped to see that Mike was holding my shoulder. I tightened my grip on Chris's hand and he turned around too.
"Hi" Mike said.
"Uhhh..hey"
Mike then noticed me and Chris were holding hands. He just stared at our hands.
"It hasnt even been a day and you found yourself a new boy toy!WOW!" Mike stated.
"Hey man shut it, there is nothing going on between me and Vanessa!" Chris defended.
Mike got in Chris's face. I shoved Mike away from Chris.
"Where are the boys?" I said.
"They went to another bar. Please can we talk?" Mike said. I nodded. Chris looked at me with disbelief.
"Are you sure?" Chris said
"I will be fine dont worry thanks for everything" I gave Chris a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. We then exchanged numbers . Chris then walked out of the club.
Mike and I once again ALONE.
