Somehow I trusted Chris. A stranger I met only 3 minutes ago at a bus stop.
"So where you heading off to?" He said.
"The other side of town"
"Oh really? Im actually going to this really cool bar at the other side of town if you wanna come?" He looked at me with puppy eyes.
I stayed quiet weighing my options. Go with Chris and get drunk. Go back to the hotel face Jaime and probably Mike.
"You look like you need a drink" Chris said.
"Fuck, I really do" I gave Chris a light smile.
The bus stopped and Chris sat next to me by the window.
"So whats wrong?" He said. "I got dumped"
"Oh well then he is one lucky guy to have been able to hold you and kiss you but he is one stupid fucker to have let you go."
"Nah, He was a smart fucker to have let me go because I fucked up"
"What did you do?"
"I kissed his best friend twice"
"Ooh,well I understand why he broke up with you but he should have overlooked that if he really loves you , which means he doesn't deserve you"
"I wish I deserved him"
"Stop being so hard on yourself" Chris said.
We passed a billboard that anounced Warped Tour.
"Did you go to Warped?" He asked.
"I work there"
"Really? That is so cool! Do you get to meet the bands?" His face lit up.
"Yeah im friends with a lot of bands"
"Are you friends with Pierce The Veil?"
"Especially them I am their merch girl" I said with the most dead tone.
"They are my favorite band ever! I connect so much with their music"
"Yeah they truly are amazing" I said accepting the thought of them once again.
"So if you work at Warped what are you doing here?"
"Well Warped is resting here for a few days and when Jaime broke up with me I just started walking and ended up on this side of town."
"Wait. You were Jaime Preciados girlfriend"
"Yeahh..." I whispered.
"Oh"
"Im sorry" he said .
"Its okay there is no need to apologize you really like them and thats cool I still really love the boys despite everything that has happened"
"Well tell me everything that happened"
I ended up telling Chris everything and he really listened. I felt a huge weight come off my shoulders and the knot in my throat started to unravel.
The more I talked the better I felt.
We got off the bus and entered a club or bar.
There was a line of people trying to get in but Chris knew the bouncer and he let us in.
This was pretty exclusive for a guy who rides the bus. I was more than confused.
We went up to the bar and Chris gave the bartender a hug over the counter and got us two drinks. I chugged the beer he gave me and ordered a tequila shot.The club had a big dance floor very exclusive people it was pretty high end.
"So how do you just know everybody here?" I asked.
"My dad owns the place" Chris said. Aaah now it makes more sense but not entirely.
"So why do you ride the bus?"
"My car is in the shop getting some shit fixed, but I dont mind riding the bus you never know who you will meet" He winked.
Now i understand.Chris ordered more shots.
"Thanks for tonight Chris"
"No problem you needed a friend and im here for you, here ill give you my number and if you ever want to talk dont hesitate on giving me a call" He typed in his number on his phone number in my contacts.
I saw that i had a total of 30 missed calls. Ten from Vic. Fifteen from Tony. Four from Mike. One from Jaime. All my text messages where from Tony and Vic asking where I was and if I was okay. I texted both of them confirming I was fine and that I will be ready to leave tomorrow morning.
Vic replied :
Thank God your okay! We were getting ready to call the cops and report you missing you gave us a huge scare!!Im so glad your fine Vanessa! Me and the boys are going to a bar now.

Me and Chris had a casual conversation the rest of the night he was making me laugh. We danced like crazy people and for the first time in a long time I was having fun. We went back to the bar and I looked around the club and saw the only person I seriously wanted to avoid.
