Lonely Girl

So I explained everything to the guys. Jenna took Elisa outside to play while Hayley and Taylor began to cook dinner. "So I'm an uncle?" Mike asked for the 10th time.

"Yeah, pretty much" I replied for the 10th time.

"Whoa" Mike said in disbelief. "What has papa said about it?".

"I haven't told him yet" I shrugged. Mike gave me a funny look.

"Why not?" He asked.

"I literally just found out a few hours ago, I'm still coming to terms with it" I explained.

"Right okay... but you gotta tell him" Mike said looking away.

"I will" I said standing up off of the couch. "I'm gonna go see if Hayley needs any help with dinner" I said walking away towards the kitchen.

I heard music softly playing. As I walked in I seen Hayley dancing around as she cut up vegetables singing to Tonight Alive. "Lonely girl you lost the only thing you loved" She sung. "Nothing you had was ever good enough and I wont be the one to keep you safe and I wont be the one who stays the same. You've got a lot of nerve and looks like the tables turning and now you're wishing me well like you miss me" Hayley sung loudly.

I stood at the door and watched her move. Suddenly she turned around and jumped when she saw me. "Did I scare ya?" I smirked.

She grabbed her heart. "How long were you there for?" She asked with embarrassement.

"Lonely girl you lost the only thing you loved" I sung mimicking her movements. She rolled her eyes and turned back to the vegetables she was cutting up.

"You're an ass" She mumbled.

"Anyway I think we should talk about how much I'm gonna get to see Elisa" I asked.

"How much do you wanna see her?" Hayley asked looked round to me.

"I wanna see her everyday but I can't so a few times a week" I said softly.

"What makes you think you can't see her everyday?" Hayley asked but not looking at me this time.

"Well you live here... with Taylor..." I muttered.

Hayley turned around and placed the knife on the counter. "You think me and Taylor are together?" She asked. I couldn't say yes so I just nodded. She broke down in a fit of laughter. "Oh my god... no way" She laughed.

"What? You live with a guy who looks to be very close to your child" I shrugged. Seemed legit to me.

"Who calls him uncle Taylor... look Vic, I'm not with anyone. I have a kid, a young one at that. I don't have time for relationships" She said looking at the floor.

"Okay... sorry I thought that" I apologised, suddenly feeling really bad about thinking that. Taylor was a good friend of Hayleys and obviously he had been there for her a lot recently. When I wasn't.

Silence fell between us and Hayley got back to cooking. I watched her movements around the kitchen as she sung softly along to the music playing from her ipod docking station. Right now New Found Glory was playing and she seemed really happy singing along to it. I almost felt jealous, like I wanted to hear her voice singing my songs...

"Mommy, mommy auntie Jenna fell into the pool" Elisa squealed as she ran into the kitchen. A few seconds later Jenna waddled into the kitchen dripping wet.

"Hayley, I may need to borrow some clothes" Jenna said with shivering in her voice. I couldn't hold my laughter in. "Oh you think it's funny?" Jenna asked. She walked over to me and grabbed my arm.

"Jenna I'm sorry" I said as she dragged me outside. Hayley and Elisa followed us as Jenna pushed me towards the pool. "No Jenna I'm really sorry please" I begged.

"Okay" She laughed. She let me go and I didn't realise how close I was to the pool until I felt myself fall backwards into it. The water hit me like ice.

"FUCK" I shouted when my head came above water.

"VIC LANGUAGE" Hayley shouted. Oh crap.

"Sorry!" I shouted as I pulled myself outta the pool. Just as I climbed out Jaime, Mike and Tony ran outside.

"What'd we miss?" Jaime said looking like an excited dog.

"Jenna fell in the pool then Vic laughed at her so she pushed him in" Hayley said through her laughter.

Everyone began laughing at me and Jenna. "You guys suck".

"Come on, I'll get you guys some towels and clothes. Elisa stay here and get to know your uncles" Hayley informed us.

Mike walked up to her and she gave him a high five. "I'm your uncle Mike, wanna go play?" He said kneeling down. She nodded enthusiasticly. It warmed my heart to watch.

"Come on" Hayley said to us. We both followed her upstairs. She gave us towels and told us she'd be back in a few minutes with clothes.

As soon as she left the room Jenna turned to me. "You still love her" She said squinting her eyes at me.

"What, no I don't" I said raising an eyebrow.

"Lies. You keep looking at her funny" She said placing her hands on her hips.

"I haven't seen her in years, I'm curious about stuff" I shrugged.

"Why did you care about Taylor staying here?" She asked.

"Wait were you listening in on our conversation?" I asked getting a little frustrated.

"No I was gonna come in for a drink but I heard that so I stayed out" She explained.

"I just think it's weird how he's helping her out with MY kid when she could have easily called me and went "oh hey Vic by the way I had your baby" but no she got him to help" I rolled my eyes.

"Stop being petty. Want to know something Vic, she was gonna tell you so many times but then remembered that you went ontour and forgot about her. Maybe you should think about that. If she wasn't good enough to stay in your life then what chances did Elisa have?" Jenna said with anger.

She was right. I did just stop contact with her. "I feel terrible about that" I mumbled looking away. I couldn't face the stare Jenna was giving me.

"Well you gotta see what is worth more. Your family or being angry" Jenna shrugged. "You can play the 'she didn't tell me card' for as long as you want but the longer you do that the older your child gets. The more she is gonna be aware of her missing father" Jenna reminded me.

"Ugh, you're annoyingly right" I sighed.

"Of course. I'm a girl, I'm always right" She smiled smugly. "By the way, your little girl is the flower girl at my wedding... and you'll be walking Hayley down the isle. Sorry to drop the bombshell" Jenna said biting her lip.

"Rachel is gonna love all of this" I said looking at Jenna.

"That's another thing. Do you want a relationship with someone who lives halfway across the country while you have a kid with a girl you don't wanna admit you still love. Rachel is going to flip out when she finds out about Elisa and you know it" Jenna reminded me.

"I know but I can't triptoe around that one. Also I love my girlfriend not Hayley. That ship's sailed" I said sternly.

Suddenly the door opened and Hayley walked in with some clothes. "Here you go Jenna" She said handing Jenna clothes. "Here" She said trusting the clothes into my arms. "Jenna you can get changed in my room" She informed Jenna" Then walked out the room. She heard that last part of sure.
