I Want To Hold Your Hand (Tony perry; Pierce The Veil Fan Fic)

Chapter Three

JOSS POV-
The soft sound of my phone vibrating sturred me awake from my deep slumber. I tried to feel for my phone on the bed. I almost had it, but it slipped right off the side of my bed. "Dammit!" I groaned throwing the pillow off of my head and reaching down to the floor to grab my phone. My eyes squinted to see the name and it blinked, Mama Bear.
I answered it turning myself to the side and letting my phone rest on my ear. "Hi Mom." I said sleepily. She laughed and said, "Did I wake you? Aw I'm sorry sweetie, but I just wanted to see how you guys got settled in." Aww shit! I internally groaned to myself, how could I forget to call my mom to let her know we were safe. "Aw, I'm sorry mom! Its just that...I couldn't help but just be in awe of everything. It honestly slipped my mind to call home." I said holding the phone to my ear now and laying flat on my back.
"It's alright, I knew you'd be excited. I'm happy to hear that you're liking it so far." I could tell there was a smile on her face. We talked on a while more as I told her about my room, the hotel, and the Mexican restaurant we had ate at.
"And today I think we were going to go shop around and play tourist." I mentioned as I checked the time. "Well I better let you get up and get ready for your adventure today. I love you sweetie! Hope you girls stay safe!" She reminded letting the worried wart come out of her.
"We will mom and I love you too!" as I was about to hang up she shouted, "Remember the buddy system!" That got me laughing.
Looking at the time on my phone it was a quarter to seven which is about the same time I would wake up back home. Pulling myself out of bed I stretched my way to the bathroom to get cleaned up. I felt much more refreshed after washing the sleep away and brushing my teeth. Now it was time to get together an outfit.
"What shall I wear?" I said out loud as I skimmed through my closet. After a minute of debating, I decided on wearing my pair of ripped denim shorts with my rolling stones tank top (that I cut myself since it was too big as the guy tank) and to finish it off with my red vans.
As I looked in the mirror I had threw my hair up into a high pony tail leaving my bangs down. It went pretty darn well with my outfit. "Good job Joss!" I praised myself. I grabbed my small purse crossing it over my chest, ready to launch.
Feeling ready to go I headed off to see if there other girls were up yet. To my surprise, they were all around the kitchen drinking coffee and eating room service pancakes and fruit bowls. "Well, Morning sunshine! Come eat breakfast, it just arrived." Fern said as she popped a strawberry in her mouth.
I took a seat up next to Kibb and piled on a plate with two pancakes, pouring syrup on it. The food was amazing, which I never expected since its room service, but boy was I wrong.
Sage and I were cleaning everything up so that the maid wouldn't be left with a complete mess. Kibb said, "I didn't mention it earlier but, look at you Miss Cutie pants!" Then Fern jumped in, "I know! Joss is making us all look like bleh." I shook my head in disbelief, "Shut up you two! You guys are the prettier ones!" For a minute or so we went back and forth until we ended up in a fit of laughters.
Next thing you know, we were out and about. We decided to walk since it would give us a chance to really check out all of the stores we come across and we wouldn't have to worry about traffic or parking.
I had always wanted to walk around to actually enjoy the things around me and take in everything. I stopped, snatching a few pictures here and there on my phone. I loved my Samsung Galaxy S4! We stopped at a few stores, but so far there was nothing that really caught my eye for me or for my parents.
Looking around the store I caught a glimpse of tents and large groups of people walking around. If I wasn't mistaken it was a farmer's market. Now that was something I wanted to see! "Hey guys! Why don't we go check out that farmer's market over there?" I offered to the girls. Everyone agreed and headed over there.
There were so many tents, the smell of insense and food mixed with the air, along with some mexican music playing over the murmurs of sales men trying to make a sale. "Look, why don't we split up and meet up right back here at this stop sign. Call if anything should happen alright?" Fern offered. Before I even agreed I found myself wandering off looking through the tents.
So many things that I had wanted to buy and for the most part, they were fairly cheap. I ended up stopping at this vendor where they sold pretty scarves. It automatically made me think of my mom, so I browsed a bit. An older mexican woman smiled at me and asked, "Are you looking for anything particular senora?" She had a heavy mexican accent, but her english was none the less clear. I returned the smile and shook my head, "Well, I'm looking for something for my mom."
"Mama si?" I nodded my head. She smiled and reached under her table pulling out a beautiful colorful scarf that had beads hanging off the ends. It was dark and rich in color that would look nice against my mom's skin tone. "I'll take it!" I said reaching for my wallet to pay whatever she wanted for it, but she waved her hand. "No, no, no! I give this as a gift to you child." Before I could refuse she placed the scarf in a paper bag and handed it to me.
I gave her a warm smile feeling beyond touched by her gift, "Thank you so much!" I said finally. I waved her off and continued on my search. Now all there was left was something for my dad, which would be a little more difficult. My search went on for a while, not including the few stops I made for myself (which was quite a bit). By the time I was set on giving up, I came across a vendor who had a table filled with all sorts of bracelets. Taking a closer look at them there were charm bracelets, chain bracelets, friendship bracelets, and leather straps / cuffs.
Considering my dad was a bit of a wilderness/country man I figured a leather strap/cuff. I picked out three different leather straps that had different designs for my dad and then I was left to choose a friendship bracelet that I wouldn't mind having. I was in a battle between getting a black and red or a black and green. When I finally made up my mind, I went to reach for the black and green when someone else also went for it.
"I'm sorry, if you..." I started to say when I looked up and saw a pair of doe like eyes staring down at me. Why did they look so familiar? Then I saw it, the twinkle right below his left eye, it was the guy from the airport. "I don't know if you remember me, but you..." I started to say when he interrupted. "Your the girl who's bag got stuck at the airport." He stated. God his voice. I laughed and nodded. There was an awkward silence between us since he didn't say anything in reply. All he did was stare down at me, which made me nervous and caused me to blush. (Yes, I blush easily.) But then again, I couldn't help but stare back. He wore a tank top that showed off his tattoos on both arms and on his neck that actually suited him. The tan shorts were just right on his tall figure and to top it all off, he wore a black rebel eight snapback. In all honesty, he was fairly attractive.
I quickly forced myself to turn away from him and look back down at the table. "Um, if you want the green bracelet you can take it. I had a second choice in mind that I don't mind taking." I finally said. He tried to play it off as if he wasn't just staring at me and simply said, "Well, you had it first obviously. I don't want to take away your first choice." I shook my head, "No don't sweat it." Before he could even register what I was doing, I purchased the straps for my dad, along with the red and green friendship bracelets. Once I got it back I handed it over to him, "Here!" He looked stunned for a moment and a bit lost.
I grabbed his hand and placed the bracelet in his palm, "Take it as a thank you, you know for helping me back at the airport." If I wasn't mistaken, I'd swear he sort of blushed at my gesture. He nodded and said, "Well, thanks, uh..." I smiled and said, "Joss." He smiled back and said, "Thanks Joss."
Did I just give my name to a stranger? Joss what the hell is wrong with you?! I scolded myself. "Hey Joss!" I turned to see Sage and the girls making their way over. "Hey guys!" I said as I took my hand back to wave at them. The guy looked like he was about ready to walk away when Sage said, "Oh my god! You're Tony Perry from Pierce the Veil!" Pierce the Veil? I looked at Sage and said, "What do you mean?"
Sage looked at me like I had grown a third head, "You know the rock band I love so much? And the songs I got you addicted too? He's the lead guitarist!!" She stated. I looked back at him, where he kind of rubbed the back of his neck and smiled sheepishly. So I smiled and said, "Well, its nice to meet you Tony." He looked back at me, sort of taken aback until his took a hold of my hand in his. "Its nice to meet you too, Joss."
********************************************
"So wait a second? You helped our friend here with her luggage and now you guys coincidently met here in the farmer's market?" Kibb questioned after hearing the story of how Tony had helped me with my luggage and ending up where we are now. He nodded as he played with the tip of his hat, "Yup thats what happened."
"This is totally gonna be one of those cliche stories or movies." Fern said, as she laughed to herself. In a way, I was sort of with her on that, but there was no need to jump to conclusions. "I can't believe you're going to introduce us to the rest of the band! You don't know how much this means to me." Sage said all giddy and excited.
After the girls introduced themselves and we had all gotten aquainted Tony offered to introduce us to the band since Sage was a big fan of theirs. Pierce the Veil was very big on meeting their fans and making sure that they will be appreciated.
I whispered over to Tony, "I've never seen her act like this before, she is a very huge fan." He smiled (God that smile was just so intoxicating. Who knew a guy could smile and swoon a girl so quickly?) and said, "She's not that bad compared to other fans who go crazier, but we love them none the less."
This can't be real! This guy is in a band, practically a celebirty and he's not at all like how you'd expect famous people to be. I liked that.
Oh my god! I'm with a famous person, a hot famous person, whos in a band, who plays guitar (my favorite instrument), and he's so bloody nice. And I'm going to meet other famous people just like him. Let me take a moment (internally) to just do a major happy dance. I'm definitely checking this off my bucket list!
